An improved sandal to provide greater support and comfort for a foot of a wearer. The improved sandal includes a strap having first and second ends secured to a sole formed of at least one layer. Two or more thongs are attached at a first end to the strap be the first and second ends, and the two or more thongs are attached at a second end to the sole.
Strap for backless footwear
A device for holding backless footwear on a person's foot includes an elongated seamless elastic strap, the strap extending in a longitudinal direction from a first end to a second end. First and second attachment mechanisms are disposed on the first and second ends of the strap, respectively. The strap can be attached to backless footwear having first and second portions on respective first and second lateral sides thereof by folding the first end of the strap around the first portion of the footwear and securing the first end to the strap between the first and second ends thereof by way of the first attachment mechanism, and by folding the second end of the strap around the second portion of the footwear and securing the second end to the strap between the first and second ends thereof by way of the second attachment mechanism.
Adjustable sandal construction
A sandal construction including a sole assembly, an adjustable strap system, and an ankle post extending up from and affixed to the sole in the ankle region. The ankle post includes three slots arranged in a generally triangular configuration. The strap system includes a strap, a portion of which is threaded through the slots in the ankle post and extending behind the heel of a wearer's foot and from the ankle region into the forefoot region. The strap is folded as it passes between two slots to control the orientation of the strap portions and to allow deliberate adjustment of the strap, but resist unintentional movement of the strap. The strap is selectively moveable through the slots to loosen and tighten the strap through both the ankle and forefoot regions to adjust the fit of the sandal to the wearer's foot.

A sandal has a sole with a front hole and a pair of rear holes, a toe thong that includes a center portion and a pair of side straps, the center portion having an oversized front plug, and each of the side straps having a rear plug.
Sandal Having Detachable Strap Fastening
A sandal having a detachable strap fastening, comprising a sole, at least one strap and at least one cam buckle and/or at least one anchor buckle. The sandal is modularly constructed and can be easily assembled and disassembled. The sole and the at least one strap are connected to each other by guiding the at least one strap through apertures provided in the sole. The two ends of the at least one strap are either fastened to the strap again by means of at least one of the cam buckles so as to form a loop or are anchored to one of the apertures by means of at least one of the anchor buckles, wherein the fastening of at least one cam buckle and/or the at least one anchor buckle is effective by friction-locking and they can be opened manually after closing and can be detached from the strap.

SHOE
A shoe that grows comprises a sole having a toe, medial side, lateral side, and heel. The toe of the sole extends outwardly to form a toe cap. A vamp member is adjustably connected to a free end of the toe cap. At least one medial strap connects the vamp member to the medial side of the sole. At least one lateral strap connects the vamp member to the lateral side of the sole. An adjustable heel strap connects to the medial and lateral sides of the sole and extends around the heel of the sole.
Interchangeable strap system and device for open-toed footwear
Disclosed herein is an interchangeable strap on an opened toed footwear that includes a sole and a strap. Connected to one or more of the ends of the strap is an insert. The sole of the footwear includes housing units that are connectable to the strap inserts found on one or more strap end. The connection between the insert and the housing unit is both connectable and detachable.
Flip flops with wind and water barrier
Flip flop sandals with a barrier around a perimeter of a sole. The barrier forms a continuous loop, thereby protecting the feet from wind and water in all directions. The flip flops comprise a medial strap, a lateral strap and a toe strap attached to the sole at locations interior to the barrier. The barrier protects the feet from water splashes, puddles, wet grass and wind. The barrier height can be in the range of 0.5-4 inches or 0.7-3 inches. Alternatively, the barrier height can be at least 40% or ½ a length of the toe strap. The barrier can be made of closed cell foam or plastic film. The attachment between the sole and barrier can be water tight.
