SHOE WITH SOLE PROVIDING A DYNAMIC SUPPORTING HEEL
20230011311 · 2023-01-12 · ·

The invention provides a shoe with a sole providing a dynamic heel support, the shoe comprising a rubber outsole, a midsole comprising a harder elastic material, a softer elastic material, and at least one insert having a higher elastic hardness than the harder elastic material and the softer elastic material, and a higher resistance against bending, wherein the harder elastic material has elastic hardness in a range 1.3 to 3 times higher than the softer elastic material. The shoe is is distinguished in that the harder elastic material is arranged in a band inside the periphery along the sides and heel of the midsole, wherein the softer elastic material is arranged in the midsole inside the band of the harder elastic material, wherein the at least one insert is arranged within the softer elastic material, at least in the heel part of the midsole, and wherein the thickness of the softer elastic material above the insert in the heel part of the midsole is at least 0.5 times the thickness of the insert and the thickness of the softer elastic material below the insert in the heel part of the midsole is at least 1 times the thickness of the insert as measured at a centreline of the insert, excluding the thickness of any ribs on the inlay.

PERSONALIZING FOOT SUPPORTS

In an example, a method is described. The method comprises generating object model data representative of a design of a foot support to be produced for a subject according to the object model data. The design of the foot support comprises: a support portion; and an extension portion extending from the support portion. A type of the extension portion is based on a condition of the subject's foot and the extension portion is personalized to the subject based on at least one measurement of the subject's foot.

The present disclosure provides a footwear technology system including a multilayer shoe sole system. The multilayer shoe sole insert can include a lower outsole layer, a midsole layer, and an upper insole layer, wherein the midsole layer includes a plurality of pins extending from the bottom surface of the midsole layer, wherein the pins engage with the pin holes in the outsole layer. The system can include a dynamic upper foot retention system that moves in harmony with the foot's optimal natural movement. The dynamic upper foot retention system can include a top component connecting the lace area to the sole system, and back component that connects the upper heel area to the sole system, wherein when the laces are tightened, the force is directed towards the heel securing the foot to the shoe without forcing the arch down or constricting the raising of the foot arch.

INSOLE ASSEMBLY

An insole assembly is provided comprising an insole having an upper surface upon which an underside of a foot may contact and be supported. The insole assembly has at least one protrusion which projects away from the upper surface of the insole. At least one of the protrusions is detachably connected to the insole. The protrusions may be interchanged to customize an insole assembly to provide enhanced cutaneous stimulation of targeted regions of a foot.

CUSTOMIZED INSOLES FOR DIABETIC AND PRESSURE ULCERS

Disclosed herein are insoles useful for treating skin injuries on a foot, for instance ulcers. The insoles are customizable for each patient's foot and can include various portions of differing softness, depending on the needs of the patient. For instance, it can be beneficial for certain sections of the foot to contact a firmer material, whereas other sections contact a softer material. Some, or all, of the materials can include one or more biofidelic skin simulant materials. Thus, various implementations include one or more regions that can include the same or different materials. For example, a custom insole can include a heel support region, a midfoot support region, and a forefoot support region, and the support regions can be subdivided into medial and lateral support regions or toe regions. One or more regions may have a custom isolation segment to prevent the progression of ulcers and/or expedite wound healing.
