SHOE OUTSOLES AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Systems and methods of manufacturing a shoe outsole are provided wherein at least a portion of the resulting shoe outsole includes embedded particles. An example method includes applying adhesive to at least one region of the shoe outsole, depositing selected particles onto the adhesive to provide the shoe outsole with a first coat of particles, and at least partially curing the adhesive. The method continues by applying additional adhesive over the first coat of particles, depositing additional particles onto the adhesive to provide the shoe outsole with a second coat of particles, and at least partially curing the subsequent application of adhesive.
Spraying system for footwear
The manufacturing of footwear includes the joining of components. The joining may be accomplished with adhesive. The adhesive, such as a polyurethane, is applied as a single-sided adhesive to a footwear component. The application of the adhesive can contaminate the system that is applying the adhesive with intentional over spray of the footwear component. The over spray ensures adequate coverage of the footwear component to allow a sufficient bond. A masking platform of the system masks portions of the system to limit the contamination caused by the over spray. Additionally, material brushes and scrapers may engage with components of the system to remove or limit adhesive contamination on those components. A vision system maps a surface of the footwear component to ensure the adhesive is applied for the specific article.

METHOD CONCERNING THE APPLICATION OF A SOLE OBTAINED BENDING THE EDGES OF A FLAT NON-TRIMMED SOLE ON AN UPPER FOR OBTAINING A SHOE AND A THUS OBTAINED SHOE
A method for coupling a non-trimmed sole and an upper for making a shoe, which includes the steps of providing a non-trimmed sole having a flat and/or sheet-like shape and provided with a first surface, adapted during use to face towards the upper, wherein the non-trimmed sole includes a central part or impression and an edge portion which is extended outward starting from a peripheral portion of the impression, positioning the sole in a position below the upper, moving the non-trimmed sole so to enclose at least part of the upper, constraining the non-trimmed sole and at least part of the upper so as to obtain the shoe; shoe obtainable by means of such method.
METHOD, DEVICE AND MACHINE FOR PROCESSING SHOES
A method for preparation of a part of a surface of a shoe for subsequent gluing comprises the steps of spreading a glue on the operating surface of a roughing tool and applying this operating surface onto the part of the shoe to be roughed before drying of the glue, so as to transfer the glue onto the part of the surface being roughed. A device (14) implementing this method and a machine (10) using this device are also described.
Multiple-nozzle defined edge tool
Systems apply a material (e.g., adhesive) to an article (e.g., a component in an article of footwear) with a multiple-nozzle tool. A first nozzle of the multiple-nozzle tool is effective to provide an edge application of the material that is consistent in application of the material. A second nozzle of the multiple-nozzle tool is effective to provide a greater material coverage application than the first nozzle. The second nozzle may be implemented to apply the material at an interior area from the edge at which the first nozzle applies the material, in an exemplary aspect.
Air Masking Nozzle
A nozzle dispenses a material, such as an adhesive, primer, paint, or other coating, through a dispensing port on to a substrate. The spray pattern provided by the nozzle defines, at least in part, an application pattern of the material on to the substrate. An air mask port integral with the nozzle or a separate nozzle expels a mask stream of pressurized gas. The mask stream projects toward the substrate to aid in limiting an application of the material beyond an application line on the substrate. The air-mask port and the dispensing port may be moved relative to the substrate and/or the application line such that the mask stream provides a barrier to the material being applied.
SHOE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SHOE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM
A shoe manufacturing system (100) processes a to-be-bonded surface (11a) of an upper (11) before bonding a sole to the upper (11). The shoe manufacturing system (100) includes a holding platform (10), a camera (20a, 20b), an applicator (30), a robot arm (40), and a control device (60). The control device (60) identifies a boundary of the to-be-bonded surface (11 a) of the upper (11) that is to serve as a master model M among a plurality of uppers (11), for defining an area of the to-be-bonded surface (11 a) to be processed, based on three-dimensional shape data of the master model M acquired by the camera (20a). The control device (60) controls the robot arm (40) for each of the uppers (11) (such as products P1 to P3) other than the master model M, to cause the applicator (30) to apply an adhesive to the area of the to-be-bonded surface (11a) enclosed by the identified boundary.
