CONNECTION SYSTEM, CONNECTION ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD
A connection system has a first adhesion segment, on which a first connection region is formed, a second adhesion segment, on which a second connection region is formed, and a solidifiable liquid connection substance for connecting the two adhesion segments in a material fit, wherein at least one of the two connection regions is formed flexibly, such that, when the liquid connection substance is introduced between the two connection regions which are opposite one another in an assembly arrangement of the two adhesion segments, a material connection is formed between the two connection regions automatically as a result of the elastocapillary effect via the liquid connection substance.
Loops component of hook-and-loop fastener
A loops component of a hook-and-loop fastener includes an outer fabric; an inner membrane surrounded by the outer fabric; and a foam layer disposed in the inner membrane which is formed of thermoplastic. The thermoplastic is thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), polyester, nylon or polyurethane (PU).
Process of making hook-and-loop fastener
A process of manufacturing a loops component of hook-and-loop fastener include placing a thermoplastic material in a dehumidifier to remove water from the thermoplastic material; mixing the dry thermoplastic material in a mixing device to form a liquid substance; activating the membrane making device to make a continuous membrane; activating a laminating device to heat the continuous membrane on a fabric to form a loops component by sticking the continuous membrane and the fabric together; placing the loops component in a cooling device to form a solid loops component; activating a cutting device to cut the solid loops component into first loops components; activating a heating device to join left and right sides of the first loops component to form a second loops component having an outer fabric and an inner membrane; and activating the cutting device to cut the second loops component into finished loops components.
Flexible fastener for textiles
A flexible fastener includes a plurality of arrays of studs engaged with complimentary arrays of rings. The studs of each array are connected to diagonally adjacent studs via arms adjoining the stem of the stud. Interstitial recesses defined by the arms and stems are sized and configured to engage with the heads of studs on an engaging fastener piece. In embodiments, the fastener provides high tensile strength, continuous adjustment in two directions, and improved comfort when used in a garment. In some embodiments the fastener includes features which ensure alignment between pieces.
POLYESTER FABRIC HOOK-AND-LOOP FASTENER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SAME
A polyester woven-fabric hook-and-loop fastener has a warp yarn thickness Tb which is 0.94 times or less of a warp yarn thickness Ts. A selvage area having a constant width is present on two opposite ends, continuously in a line form in the warp direction, without misalignment in the weft direction. As a result, when the polyester woven-fabric hook-and-loop fastener is sewn onto a garment or the like, a sewing thread sewn to the selvage area is in a straight line without meandering, and thus a sewn product excellent in appearance can be obtained.
Sheet of loop material, method and apparatus for forming same
A sheet of loop material having utility as the landing zone in the manufacture of, e.g. disposable diapers and having excellent properties and an exceptionally low basis weight. Methods and apparatus for forming the sheet of loop material are also disclosed.
FASTENING DEVICE, METHOD OF PRODUCTION AND FASTENING SYSTEM THEREOF
A fastening device has a plurality of individual spaced-apart interlocking elements made of a plastics material, each of which projects towards one side from a carrier part by being provided with a stem part and a head part. The number of interlocking elements is 100 to 200 pieces per cm.sup.2, preferably 120 pieces per cm.sup.2. The diameter of the stem part of an interlocking element is 150 to 250 m, preferably 213 m. The height of the interlocking element, calculated from the root-side base on the carrier part to the head-part end, is 1200 to 2200 m, preferably 1500 to 1980 m. The dimension of the largest head-part diameter of an interlocking element is 200 to 400 m, preferably 220 to 290 m.
Attachment system, E.G., for panels
A system for fastening a covering on a surface includes a first assembly comprising a first retaining element; and a second assembly comprising a second retaining element; the first and second retaining elements being configured to engage each other so as to form a reversible bond; the system being characterized in that the first retaining element comprises an array of retaining elements comprising hooks having a height (Hc) lying in the range 0.05 mm (0.0020 in) to 1 mm (0.039 in), and the second retaining element comprises an array of retaining elements comprising loops having a height (Hb) lying in the range 0.1 mm (0.0039 in) to 3.0 mm (0.12 in).
