Each of the first and second members includes a base sheet and a plurality of fastening units on and integrally molded with the base sheet. Each of the fastening units has first and second hooks. The first hook has a first body and a first hook portion. The second hook has a second body and a second hook portion. The first and second bodies are adjacent to each other in a transverse direction and integrally formed on the base sheet. The first and second hook portions are respectively extend from the first and second bodies and bended toward opposite directions. An overlapping degree between the first and second bodies in a longitudinal direction is configured to be determined by a desired fastening strength between the first and second members.

Aspects disclosed herein relate to forming on a substrate fastener elements suitable for use in touch fastener by employing vibration forming methods. The processes described provide for a greater flexibility in manufacturing than prior methods and overcome certain limitations in prior forming techniques. Further, the product made can embody a variety of different configurations suitable for a given application. Employing vibration forming methods, such as ultrasonic forming methods, allows for the use of a wider variety of substrate material than materials used with convention methods of touch fastener formation.

MALE MOLD HOOK-AND-LOOP FASTENER-EQUIPPED SHEET HAVING EXCELLENT QUIETNESS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

A male-type molded hook-and-loop fastener-equipped sheet includes a male-type molded hook-and-loop fastener and a non-foam resin sheet integrated on the back surface of the male-type molded hook-and-loop fastener. The male-type molded hook-and-loop fastener includes a resin-made base plate and a plurality of male-type engaging elements made of the same resin, rising from the surface of the base plate and arranged in a row. The male-type engaging elements are bent in the direction of the row direction of the male-type engaging elements from the middle thereof, where the tip end portion approaches the base plate. The non-foam resin sheet is directly laminated and integrated on the back surface of the male-type molded hook-and-loop fastener. The resin constituting the non-foam resin sheet is a resin mainly composed of an elastomer resin of the same type as the resin constituting the male-type molded hook-and-loop fastener, though with a lower hardness.

Molded surface fastener and manufacturing method of molded surface fastener

This molded surface fastener includes: a base portion; right and left outer wall portions arranged on the upper surfaces of the base portion; a plurality of engaging elements arranged between the right and left outer wall portions; and right and left magnetic wall portions arranged between the outer wall portions and the engaging elements. This molded surface fastener is molded by melting and integrating first synthetic resin and second synthetic resin that contains magnetic particles. At least each upper end part of the outer wall portions is formed only of the first synthetic resin, while at least each upper end part of the magnetic wall portions is formed only of the second synthetic resin. Consequently, the right and left magnetic wall portions can be formed into predetermined shapes in a stable manner.

FASTENING STRAP

A fastening strap is provided, including: a first fastening assembly, including a plurality of hooks and a first stretchable release layer including a first projection projecting beyond a base layer in a first direction, each of the plurality of hooks including a root portion and a curved portion, the curved portion extending from the root portion and curving toward a second direction, the second direction being lateral to the first direction; and a second fastening assembly, including a second stretchable release layer and a plurality of loops; wherein at least one of the plurality of hooks is releasably hooked to at least one of the plurality of loops.

Lock fastener

A lock fastener that can be easily manufactured to have great fastening ability includes a touch fastener and a base member insert-molded to the touch fastener. The base member is formed with a space adapted to be filled with a resin material at a time of insert-molding, and the space includes an opening formed in a surface of the base member. The opening is surrounded by a peripheral wall part of the surface. The peripheral wall part is adapted to abut a base of the touch fastener at the time of insert molding and to serve as a bank for preventing the resin material filled into the space from leaking.

MESH HOOK SURFACE FASTENER, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR SURFACE FASTENER-ATTACHED MOLDED BODY

A mesh hook surface fastener does not lose engagement ability even when subjected to mold-in forming and gives only a slight feeling of something foreign. The mesh hook surface fastener contains first shape holding ribs (a.sub.21) with a relatively small protrusion height and second shape holding ribs (a.sub.22) with a relatively large protrusion height which protrude to the opposite side of hook-shaped engagement elements (B.sub.1, B.sub.2) across a base layer (A.sub.1) and are alternately arranged. The heights of the adjacent shape holding ribs (a.sub.21, a.sub.22) are different, which prevents the direct entrance of a foamable resin liquid and weakens its force. As the force weakens, foaming and curing progress more readily and, as a result, the amount of the foamable resin liquid that passes through meshes of the base layer to reach the hook-shaped engagement elements can be reduced.

Mold-in fastener products are made by forming a longitudinally continuous hook tape having a flexible base and an array of discrete male touch fastener elements extending from an upper surface of the base, forming a layer of flexible barrier material on the upper surface of the base, such that the male touch fastener elements are embedded in the layer of flexible barrier material, severing the flexible barrier material to form a pattern of patches of flexible barrier material spaced apart and surrounded by a continuous lattice of barrier material, stripping the lattice from the upper surface of the base to expose regions of the base between patches, and severing the hook tape along the exposed regions of the base to form individual mold-in fastener products, each having a patch of flexible barrier material surrounded by an exposed base edge region carrying male touch fastener elements.
