A wearing band including plural first zigzag springs and plural second zigzag springs. The plural first zigzag springs have axial directions in a length direction of a band body that is formed in a belt shape or a ring shape. The plural first zigzag springs are arrayed in the length direction and a width direction of the band body so as to form a section stretching and contracting in the length direction of the band body. The plural second zigzag springs have axial directions in the width direction of the band body and are arrayed in the length direction and the width direction of the band body so as to form a section stretching and contracting in the width direction of the band body. The plural second zigzag springs have a spring constant different to a spring constant of the plural first zigzag springs.

WATCH STRAP

Watch comprising at least one case and a strap formed by a flexible blade with a first end fixed to the case and a second opposite end provided to cooperate with a device for attaching and adjusting the length of the strap. According to the invention, the adjustment device comprises a clasp formed by a cap and a lever between which the flexible blade slides, the clasp being hinged on the case by linking means which define an axis of rotation about which the lever can undergo a rotation in order to be able to move into an open position and into a closed position, the lever comprising an eccentric which is integral with the lever in the vicinity of the axis of rotation and is provided in order to clamp the free end of the blade against the cap and to retain the strap when the lever is in the closed position.

The disclosed strap adjustment devices may include a pinion gear, with a first rack secured to a first strap and a second rack secured to a second strap each engaged with the pinion gear. A rotatable cam element may include an angled radially outer surface that is at an angle to a circumference of the rotatable cam element. A bearing element may be positioned adjacent to the angled radially outer surface such that the bearing element jams between the angled radially outer surface and a braking surface when the rotatable cam element is rotated in a jamming direction. A spiral spring may be coupled to the pinion gear and the rotatable cam element to allow for an increase in length of the first and second straps upon application of a tension force to the first and second straps. Various other methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.

A wearable device configured to monitor physiological parameters of a wearer can include: a physiological parameter measurement sensor configured to monitor a plurality of physiological parameters; a hardware processor; a display in communication with the processor; and a band configured to secure the physiological parameter measurement sensor on a wrist of the wearer. In some implementations, the hardware processor is configured to: obtain a first plurality of signals from the physiological parameter measurement sensor when the band is secured on the wrist at a first tightness; determine a signal quality responsive to the first plurality of signals; and output an indication on the display to adjust tightness of the band with respect to the wrist from the first tightness to a second tightness based on the determined signal quality.

Consistently-tight watch band

A watch band is disclosed. The watch band maintains a substantially constant tension throughout changes in its length while worn by a user. Such changes in length may occur automatically to accommodate changes in the size and circumference of a user's wrist as they move their wrist normally. By maintaining a constant tension, the watch band also maintains a constant force on the user's wrist, and causes a watch body attached to the watch band to also maintain a constant force on the user's wrist. This can increase a user's comfort, since the watch will not get tighter or constrict their wrist as they straighten and bend their wrist. It can also help optimize operation of any sensors in the watch band or watch body that benefit from being held against the user's wrist with a constant force, such as some physiological sensors.

A Brunnian link is a link formed from a closed loop doubled over itself to capture another closed loop to form a chain. The example kit provides for the successful creation of unique wearable articles using Brunnian link assembly techniques and includes several pin bars that are supported in a desired special orientation by at least one base. The desired special orientation is dependent on the desired linked configuration of the completed article. The pins may be assembled in various combination and orientations to provide endless variation of completed link orientations.

Techniques for power control using carrier aggregation in wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for managing transmissions using multiple component carriers (CCs) in which transmissions using one or more of the CCs may span less than a full transmission time of a slot or other transmission time interval. A UE may signal a capability to transmit such transmissions, and one or more capabilities related to carrier aggregation that may be used by a base station for scheduling of transmissions on different CCs. In the event that overlapping transmissions on two or more CCs exceed a maximum power threshold, various techniques for dropping at least a portion of one or more transmissions of one or more CCs are described.
