Wearable device

A wrist-worn device having the form of a continuous loop. The device comprises a plurality of elongate links, each link comprising at least one magnet, the links being connected to form a chain with neighbouring links being pivotable with respect to one another about a pivot axis that is substantially radial with respect to said loop. The magnets of neighbouring links have a respective positioning and polarity to provide an attractive force between the pair of neighbouring links when the pair of neighbouring links are in a side-by-side arrangement, whereby the chain of links has a first configuration in which the links are retained by the attractive force in the side-by-side arrangement, and a second configuration of greater length than the first configuration.

ANNULAR WEARABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An annuler wearable electronic device includes a plurality of interconnected sensor pods. Each sensor pod includes one or more biosensors configured to collect biometric signal data of a user and each sensor pod is coupled to at least one adjacent sensor pod via a rigid, non-elastic coupling arm such that a circumference of the wearable electronic device is variable.

A hard travel case is described comprising a main body with a main compartment, two sub-compartments, each hinging on a first side of the main body between a closed position and open position, whereby in the closed position together the sub-compartments close the main compartment, and in the open position access is provided to the main compartment, wherein each sub-compartment comprises an access door hinging on a first side of the sub-compartment between a closed position whereby the access door closes the sub-compartment and an open position allowing access to the sub-compartment.

Expandable band

An expandable band includes one or more expandable links and one or more expansion mechanisms. The expandable link is movable between expanded and contracted positions. The expandable link is biased toward the contracted position. The expansion mechanism can be manipulated to transition the expandable link between the expanded and contracted positions, thus expanding and/or contracting the expandable band. The expandable links may be X links, pantographs, and/or other linkages. The expansion mechanism may include one or more restrictors operable to restrict expansion of the expandable band. The expansion mechanism may also include one or more lock mechanisms operable to prevent and/or resist contracting of the expandable band.

A band for a wearable electronic device is disclosed. The band comprises a first link body and a second link body, and a pair of joints joining the first link body to the second link body. Each joint comprises a first arm pivotally coupled to the first link body at a first end of the first arm, and a second arm pivotally coupled to the second link body at a first end of the second arm. A second end of the first arm is pivotally coupled to a second end of the second arm.

Band employing bistable compliant scissor linkages

A plurality of bistable compliant links are pivotally attached to one another, each of the links having a compliant section and first and second rigid sections extending from the compliant section. The links are pivotally attached to one another via the first and second rigid sections, such that when the links are pivoted with respect to each other past a threshold position toward a closed position, the links are biased toward the closed position by forces created by the compliant sections, and when the links are pivoted with respect to each other past the threshold position toward an open position, the links are biased toward the open position by forces created by the compliant sections. The forces created by the compliant sections biasing the links toward the closed position and biasing the links toward the open position are caused by elastic deformation of the compliant sections.
