PACKAGING SOLUTIONS
A packaging system for the storage of an ophthalmic device is disclosed. The packaging system includes a sealed container containing one or more unused ophthalmic devices immersed in an aqueous packaging solution that includes ectoine or an ophthalmologically acceptable ectoine derivative. The aqueous packaging solution has an osmolality of at least about 150 mOsm/kg, a pH of about 6 to about 9 and is sterilized.
Contact Lens Dispensing Assembly
A contact lens dispensing assembly includes a pair of dispensing sleeves that each contains a strip of contact lens containers for a respective one of the user's eyes. Each of the dispensing sleeves has a dispensing platform to facilitate a respective one of the contact lens containers to be removed from the dispensing sleeves for each of the user's eyes. A pair of mating members is each coupled to a receptive one of the dispensing sleeves. In this way each of the mating members can engage a support surface in a bathroom thereby facilitating the contact lens containers to be accessible to the user during the user's morning bathroom routine.
Disposable Packaging For At Least One Contact Lens
A disposable packaging for at least one contact lens. The disposable packaging has at least one molded structure which forms at least one product cavity for accommodating the contact lens. The molded structure has at least one cleaning chamber having a cleaning system for cleaning and/or disinfecting fingers. The cleaning system includes a cleaning pad which absorbs and holds cleaning and/or disinfecting agent, the cleaning pad being fixed in the cleaning chamber and the surface of said pad being exposed when the cleaning chamber is opened.
Tessellating blister packages for contact lenses
A blister package for a contact lens is provided that can be stacked with other blister packages of the same design. One example of the blister package has a body that includes a dome and a handle. A seal is attached to the top surface of the body and has a seal dome that seals a volume between the outer sidewall of the body dome and the inner sidewall of the seal dome. The handle has a through-hole and the through-hole that accommodates the outer sidewall of the seal dome. Another blister package provided has a handle and a bowl and the handle has a through-hole that accommodates the bowl outer surface. Stacks of blister packages are also provided as is secondary packaging for packaging stacks of tessellating blister packages.
Contact lens package case
A contact lens package case includes a case frame having a case frame panel with a right panel edge, a left panel edge and first and second panel surfaces extending between the right panel edge and the left panel edge; a right contact lens compartment including a right compartment end cap carried by the first panel surface at the left panel edge of the case frame panel; and a right compartment cover carried by the case frame in sliding relation thereto. The right compartment cover is positional between a closed position engaging the right compartment end cap and an open position disengaging the right compartment end cap. A left contact lens compartment includes a left compartment end cap carried by the second panel surface at the right panel edge of the case frame panel and a left compartment cover carried by the case frame in sliding relation thereto. The left compartment cover is positional between a closed position engaging the left compartment end cap and an open position disengaging the left compartment end cap.
