Hair curling system and method that utilizes bi-stable ribbon springs
A system and method for curling a lock of hair. A hair curling assembly contains a bi-stable ribbon spring. The ribbon spring is biased into a coiled configuration. The ribbon spring has positional stability in both its coiled configuration and its linear configuration. The ribbon spring is manipulated into its linear configuration within the hair curling assembly. The hair curling assembly is then positioned proximate the lock of hair to be curled. The ribbon spring is triggered back to its coiled configuration. The lock of hair winds with the ribbon spring into its coiled configuration, therein forming a curl in the lock of hair.
Hair straightening/curling method and apparatus
A hair styling accessory includes an elongated hair board having a widened end and a narrowed end with elongated edges extending between the widened end and the narrowed end, a plurality of holes extend through the hair board from an upper surface to a lower surface. At least one end-clip having open and closed orientations and biased into the closed orientation. The at least one end-clip is designed to be positioned in the closed orientation over the narrowed end of the hair board and to grip a lock of hair against one of the upper and lower surfaces. At least one side-clip having open and closed orientations and biased into the closed orientation. The at least one side-clip is designed to be positioned in the closed orientation over one of the elongated edges of the hair board and to grip the lock of hair.
Hair holder, method for producing said hair holder, and method for using said hair holder
A hair holder (1) of the present invention includes a tubular body (2) and a fixing member (5). The tubular body (2) has a first surface sheet (23A) and a second surface sheet (23B). The second surface sheet (23B) has a plurality of slits (25) that extends in a width direction and that is intermittently arranged along a longitudinal direction. The fixing member (5) has a first member (5a) and second members (5b) that can be detachably joined together. The first member (5a) is arranged on the first surface sheet (23A) on the side of a first opening (21) located at a first end in the longitudinal direction. The second surface sheet (23B) has a central region (M) in the width direction, where the plurality of slits is provided, and a pair of side regions (S) each of which is located on opposite sides of the central region (M). The second members (5b) are arranged in the pair of side regions (S), respectively, so as to extend in the longitudinal direction.

Curling device
A curling device comprising a flap and a channel connected to each other. A curling member having an elongated shape and a curved cross-section is implemented in the channel. The curling member is capable of transitioning between an extended configuration and a curled configuration. The channel has a curved cross-section corresponding to the curling member's curved cross-section, which creates a trough, whereby hair can be positioned in the trough and held therein by wrapping the flap over the trough and around the channel. Transitioning the curling member from an extended configuration to a curled configuration holds the flap and the hair in a curved configuration, which imparts a curl to the hair when the hair is held in the curled configuration for some time.
Hair curler
A hair curler has a cylindrical body with a net attached to a first end of the cylindrical body, the net invertable to permit extension of the net around the cylindrical body, holding hair in place that is wrapped around the cylindrical body. Because no hard plastics or other hard or rigid materials are present, the hair curler is comfortable for a user while sleeping or lying.
Handheld apparatus for hair and body wraps
An apparatus for applying wraps includes a handle, an arbor, a roll of material received on the arbor; and a tubular attachment having an interior space within which the arbor and roll are received. The first tubular attachment includes a slot through which material from the roll is dispensed and a slidable panel for opening and closing passage through the slot. A second tubular attachment also defines an interior space for receiving the arbor and comprises elongate protuberances defining a brush for brushing hair. Preferably the first and second tubular attachments are releasably mountable, interchangeably, and mutually exclusive in their mounting to a base of the apparatus from which the arbor extends.
Hair styling device
A portable and wearable hair styling device includes a headband configured to conform to a head of a user, a hair wrap attached to the headband, wherein the hair wrap includes a flexible inside layer, an air distribution network, and a flexible outside layer attached to the flexible inside layer creating an interior volume between the flexible inside layer and the flexible outside layer, wherein the flexible outside layer includes a hair dryer attachment and a clip configured to close a lower portion of the hair wrap around hair of the user.
