A hair-curling device 1 comprises a substantially toroidal main ring 2. At least one hair-curling loop 4 is attached to the main ring 2 by a respective attachment member 12 that holds the or each hair-curling loop 4 in a relatively fixed position around the perimeter of the main ring 2. A length of hair to be curled is extended through an aperture in the main ring 2 and then wound around a hair-curling loop 4.

A hair drying and styling system includes a hair styling tool assembly having a handle, a split barrel having, a first-member, and a second-member, a detachable brush attachment, a power source, a control panel, and a hair dryer. The device provides a hair styling tool with detachable brush attachments which may be used for drying hair. The detachable brush attachments may be rotatable for drying with the hair dryer and once detached provides a hair curler which may be left in the hair.

A hair styling apparatus includes a handle, a rotatable component operatively coupled to the handle and adapted for rotatable movement to engage a length of hair to impart a curling effect to the length of hair and an ion generator mounted to the handle and dimensioned and adapted to direct a concentration of ions to the length of hair.

The first side portion is provided with at least one barrier member (18) extending from the first side portion towards the second side portion in substantially the same direction as the connector portion and spaced apart from the connector portion. The at least one barrier member (18) has a height and the ratio of the height of the barrier member to the length of the connector portion is at least 1:3.

Apparatus for curling hair comprises first and second side portions ((12), (14)) which are secured together in a spaced apart relationship via a connector portion (16). A device for treating at least one lock of hair, comprising: at least one device (20) for applying mechanical stress to the hair, having a reception surface intended to receive the lock of hair, this surface being greater in width L in a direction perpendicular to said lock, a microwave-proof chamber which is configured so as to receive the mechanical-stress-application device (20) and at least one part of the hair to be treated, a microwave emission antenna (30) placed inside the chamber, this antenna extending axially over a distance D at least equal to L/2.

A hair styling device for styling curly or wavy hair. The hair styling device includes a body and a plurality of tines extending from a proximate end of the body, wherein each of the plurality of tines have a same length as measured from a proximal end to an opposing distal end of a tine. The tines are rigid and non-flexible to facilitate the manipulation and styling of curly hair. In some embodiments, the tines are angled such that the proximal end of the tine extends from a first side of the body and the distal end of the tine is disposed on a second side of the body, wherein the first side and second side are opposite one another. In other embodiments, the tines include an arcuate configuration. The configuration of the tines allows for various manipulation of hair to provide differently styled curls or wavy features.

A cordless hair care appliance easily convertible between a curling wand and a curling iron. The appliance features a removable clamp formed as a ring portion and hinged clamp, where the ring portion slidably fits onto the barrel of the curling wand. The appliance has an enlarged diameter portion at the interface between the barrel and a main body. The removable clamp is friction fit to the barrel when slid into place at the interface. The appliance may operate by battery alone or using battery plus a DC current supplied by a corded AC adaptor. An internal processing unit manages power usage and determines whether the device is operating in battery mode or corded mode.

A French-twist hair roller for shaping hair into an elegant style allows hair to be rolled and shaped into a French-twist style. The French-twist hair roller includes a roller and a plurality of gripping members. The hair is twisted tightly around the roller and held is placed with hair clips and hair spray. The plurality of gripping members grip onto the loose ends of the hair allowing the hair to be tightly wound around the roller. To achieve the desired shape, the roller has a tapered tube, an inner concave surface, and an outer convex surface. The plurality of gripping members is mounted onto the outer convex surface. The plurality of gripping members may be a hook-shaped or loop-shaped member that grips the hair as it is tightly wound around the roller.
