Embodiments of the present invention relate to a hair roller which can be separated into a pair of half-cylindrical roller pieces, pairs of half-cylindrical roller pieces, and a method of storing half-cylindrical roller pieces by nesting the half-cylindrical roller pieces. The hair roller of the invention includes a whole cylindrical body separable along a vertical axis into half-cylindrical roller pieces which include a plurality of mating devices configured to selectably couple the half-cylindrical roller pieces to form the whole cylindrical body, wherein the half-cylindrical roller pieces are capable of being nested. The pair of half-cylindrical roller pieces of the invention are identical in shape, which include a plurality of tabs and orifices, where the tabs have protuberances which protrude into a corresponding orifice when the lateral edges of the pair of roller pieces are aligned.

A handheld appliance having a body and an attachment, the body includes an attachment mechanism having a slot and an actuator, the attachment including a protrusion adapted to engage with the slot wherein the actuator has a first position and a second position and the actuator is moved from the first position towards the second position as the protrusion engages with the slot. In the first position the actuator may at least partially obscures the slot. The actuator includes a surface which may interact with the protrusion when the protrusion engages with the slot. The surface may be adapted to at least partially define the slot at or near the second position. When the protrusion is at a pre-determined position within the slot, the actuator may return towards the first position. The actuator may be biased into the first position.

The present disclosure relates to hair accessories and more specifically to a curling hair accessory. In accordance with aspects and embodiments, a curling hair accessory is provided having an elongated rope with stretchable loops at its ends. The elongated rope has at least one hair fastener positioned about its midpoint. A user can use the fastener to fix the accessory to the crown of the head and wrap sections of damp or dry hair with a styling product dispersed throughout around the elongated rope. Once the hair is wrapped, the rope can be secured into a bun with the stretchable loop and help in place until the hair is set into a curl.

The present disclosure relates to hair accessories and more specifically to a curling hair accessory. In accordance with aspects and embodiments, a curling hair accessory is provided having an elongated rope with stretchable loops at its ends. The elongated rope has at least one hair fastener positioned about its midpoint. A user can use the fastener to fix the accessory to the crown of the head and wrap sections of damp or dry hair with a styling product dispersed throughout around the elongated rope. Once the hair is wrapped, the rope can be secured into a bun with the stretchable loop and help in place until the hair is set into a curl.

A device for treating at least one lock of hair, comprising: —at least one device (20) for applying mechanical stress to the hair, having a reception surface intended to receive the lock of hair, this surface being greater in width L in a direction perpendicular to said lock, —a microwave-proof chamber which is configured so as to receive the mechanical-stress-application device (20) and at least one part of the hair to be treated, —a microwave emission antenna (30) placed inside the chamber, this antenna extending axially over a distance D at least equal to L/2.

A hair styling device for styling curly or wavy hair. The hair styling device includes a body and a plurality of tines extending from a proximate end of the body, wherein each of the plurality of tines have a same length as measured from a proximal end to an opposing distal end of a tine. The tines are rigid and non-flexible to facilitate the manipulation and styling of curly hair. In some embodiments, the tines are angled such that the proximal end of the tine extends from a first side of the body and the distal end of the tine is disposed on a second side of the body, wherein the first side and second side are opposite one another. In other embodiments, the tines include an arcuate configuration. The configuration of the tines allows for various manipulation of hair to provide differently styled curls or wavy features.

Apparatus for curling hair comprises first and second side portions ((12), (14)) which are secured together in a spaced apart relationship via a connector portion (16). The connector portion (16) is positioned substantially centrally with respect to each side portion. The connector portion (16) has a length of not more than 20 mm. The side portions ((12), (14)) are fabricated from a material which is both resilient and thermally conductive. The first side portion (12) is substantially flat and the second side portion (14) is configured such that it is provided with two fixed states: a first state in which the first side portion is convex in shape and bends away from the second plate; and a second fixed state in which the first side portion is concave in shape and folds over to cover both the connector portion and the first side portion. The first side portion is provided with at least one barrier member (18) extending from the first side portion towards the second side portion in substantially the same direction as the connector portion and spaced apart from the connector portion. The at least one barrier member (18) has a height and the ratio of the height of the barrier member to the length of the connector portion is at least 1:3.

Apparatus for curling hair comprises first and second side portions ((12), (14)) which are secured together in a spaced apart relationship via a connector portion (16). The connector portion (16) is positioned substantially centrally with respect to each side portion. The connector portion (16) has a length of not more than 20 mm. The side portions ((12), (14)) are fabricated from a material which is both resilient and thermally conductive. The first side portion (12) is substantially flat and the second side portion (14) is configured such that it is provided with two fixed states: a first state in which the first side portion is convex in shape and bends away from the second plate; and a second fixed state in which the first side portion is concave in shape and folds over to cover both the connector portion and the first side portion.
