A customizable hair clip assembly for connecting to a wearer's hair and providing a selective decorative aspect, including a hair clip able to releaseably attach to a wearer's hair having an indentation at a first end, a first decorative portion, and a magnetic portion secured to the first decorative portion. The indentation is configured to have substantially the same shape and size as the magnetic portion such that the magnetic portion can be substantially fully inserted into the indentation in a mounted configuration.

A bead (10) comprising first and second members (12, 14) pivotally secured adjacent first sides (16) thereof such that the first and second members (12, 14) are pivotable between a closed position and an open position. First and second openings (28) are defined between the first and second side members (12, 14) when in the closed position. A first resilient pad (33) is provided on the first side surface of the first member (12) and a second resilient pad (35) on the first side surface of the second member (14). The first and second resilient pads (33. 35) include complementary ridges (42) on adjacent inner surfaces (40) such that when the first and second members (12, 14) are in the closed position, the ridges (42) engage to deflect the hair (11) passing through the bead (10) from the first opening (28) to the second opening (28).

HAIR SECURING DEVICE
A hair securing device includes a semi-rigid membrane that conforms to a portion of the user's head. A plurality of tines extend orthogonally from the semi-rigid membrane, away from the user's head. The tines are spaced with sufficient density to securely hold portions of the user's hair when inserted within the field of tines. A securing loop may be disposed on a surface to anchor the hair securing device. Either the surface including the field of tines or an opposite surface may include a decorative or hygienic membrane. Such membrane may include ornamental designs and be disposable and replaceable. Each tine may be topped with an ornamental cap.
