A method of whitening teeth. The method may include delivering a buffer solution from a reservoir of a toothbrush to one or more tooth cleaning elements of the toothbrush; applying a toothpaste containing a peroxide to the tooth cleaning elements, the toothpaste having a first pH; and brushing the teeth with the tooth cleaning elements, thereby mixing the buffer solution and the toothpaste to form, at surfaces of the teeth, a tooth whitening mixture having a second pH that is greater than the first pH.

A hair comb and applicator device (1) is disclosed, comprising: a body (10, 20) enclosing a reservoir (5) for containing a hair treatment substance; a plurality of teeth (40) arranged in at least one row; and a roller (30), rotatably mounted within the body, to transfer hair treatment substance from the reservoir to hair during use. The body includes a wall 60 comprising: a concave inner surface (64) providing a seat for the roller and a convex outer surface (61) from which the plurality of teeth (40) extend. A plurality of through slots (62) are provided in the wall (60), the slots (62) being interposed between the plurality of teeth (40) and wherein each slot (62) extends as an arc along the wall.

An oral care kit comprising an oral care implement having a first reservoir containing a first oral care agent comprising a first whitening reagent that includes triacetin; and a container having a second reservoir containing a second oral care agent, the second oral care agent comprising a catalytic enzyme and a second whitening reagent that includes peroxide forming compound.

An oral care implement and a method of forming the same. In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care implement having a handle and a head. The head has a basin cavity formed therein which includes a basin floor and a basin sidewall and which has an open top end. An aperture is formed into the basin floor or the basin sidewall. An applicator is positioned within the basin cavity so that a delivery portion of the applicator protrudes through the aperture. The oral care implement also includes a head plate with a plurality of tooth cleaning elements mounted thereon. The head plate is coupled to the head and encloses the open top end of the basin cavity.

A personal applicator for application of a cream, gel or lotion by a user has a flexible elongate member (18) coated and/or impregnated with the cream gel or lotion from within the body (12) of a container (14). The flexible elongate member can be a chord, and may Slave a solid or elasticated central core covered with an impregnatable or absorbent sheath or coating, such as a foam. The brush body having a top side and a bottom wall extending from a periphery of the top side. A plurality of bristles extending from a periphery of the bottom wall of the brush body. A hole is present in the middle of the brush body. A threaded adjusting rod passes through the hole of the brush body to engage with a pusher plate to hold the pusher plate and one or more replaceable sponge pads inside the brush body. The threaded adjusting rod is configured to displace the pusher plate and one or more replaceable sponge pads from a first position to a second position inside the brush body, in response to rotation of a rotary knob by a user.

A method of priming an applicator of a personal care implement with a fluid. The method may include flowing a fluid along a first capillary member from a reservoir of a fluid supply system to an applicator of a personal care implement along a first fluid flow path, and flowing the fluid along a second capillary member from the reservoir of the fluid supply system to the applicator of the personal care implement along a second fluid flow path that is distinct from the first flow path. In one aspect, the fluid flowing along the second fluid flow path reaches the applicator before the fluid flowing along the first fluid flow path. In another aspect, the first capillary member is formed of a non-absorbent material and the second capillary member is formed of an absorbent material.

A toothbrush includes a handle, a head at a distal end of the handle comprising a bristle plate, a hole extending through the bristle plate, a plurality of bristles at least partially disposed in the hole and extending from the hole in a direction away from the head, and a reservoir in fluid communication with the hole. Fluid in the reservoir enters the tuft holes and is wicked out of the head of the toothbrushes by capillaries formed between the bristles.

A method of priming an applicator of a personal care implement with a fluid.
