The elongated cross-sectional area has a longer axis and a shorter axis, wherein the longer axis defines an angle α of about 20-65 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis. The tufts of the outer rows are inclined relative to the mounting surface by an inclination angle (β) of about 65-80 degrees. The tufts of the inner rows are inclined relative to the mounting surface by an inclination angle (γ) of about 60-85 degrees.

The bristles are adapted to include at least one agent, which when the broom is in use the at least one agent is released. The agent may be a perfume or the like which releases a scent via friction when adjacent bristles come into contact with each other. The agent may include an anti-bacterial composition and/or a cleaning agent. Additionally, the broom head may be adapted to be interchangeable. The bristles may take various forms and the bristle head may include at least one type or form of bristle and/or any combination of at least two types or forms of bristle.

The plurality of arcuate portions may be arranged in a ring so that the first end of each of the arcuate portions is adjacent to the second end of another one of the arcuate portions.

The first annular cleaning component may located within the second cavity of the second annular cleaning component. The first and second distal ends may be sloped in opposite directions.
