The organizer provides a convenient bed rail mounted carrier for patient items. The organizer uses integral press-fit clamp members that capture the bed rail to securely hold the assemblies to the bed rail. In certain embodiments, the organizers may take the form of a unitary rail caddy for holding various personal items, such as telephones and remote controls. In other embodiments, the organizers may take the form of a modular tray and caddy assembly with interchangeable components, such as mounting bases, tray tops and accessory holders.

An apparatus for mounting and securing medical/surgical devices may be attached to a litter (40), The medical/surgical devices may include. for example, IV holders (186), aspirators (144). cardiac monitors (148) , defibrillators (150) , infusion pumps 152 (152), ventilators (146) and other devices. Described are bed systems with side rail accessories. A foundation can include a side rail accessory having at least one support pole and a first side rail having first and second mounting holes that can receive the support pole and support the side rail accessory. The side rail accessory can be a tabletop and/or handle with the support pole.

A bedside storage assembly includes a panel that is elongated such that the panel can be slid between a mattress and a box spring of a bed. A pole is coupled to and extends upwardly from the panel to extend upwardly beyond the mattress when the panel is positioned between the mattress and the box spring. A pair of retention collars is each positionable around the pole. A pair of mounting collars each rests on a respective one of the retention collars. A basket is attached to each of the mounting collars thereby facilitating the basket to be suspended on the pole such that the basket is accessible to a user lying on the bed. A pair of dividers is each positioned in the basket to define a plurality of storage areas in the basket for storing objects.

A supinely reading stand which barely blocks the text of the book, barely interferes with the sight of the eyes, and is more simply constructed, easy in assembly and lower-cost. The supinely reading stand comprises a book-supporting structure. The book-supporting structure comprises a four-sided frame and at least one tension-resistant thin line distributed in the inner area of the four-sided frame. The four-sided frame includes first opposite sides and second opposite sides. The tension-resistant thin line(s) is/are connected to the first opposite sides of the four-sided frame in tension state.

A medical device transfer system configured to transfer a medical device to a bed rail, including: a transfer assembly configured to be attached to the medical device including: a clamp latch; a cart latch; a clamp engagement element configured to engage a clamp fixture; and a cart engagement opening; and a cart engagement assembly configured to engage the transfer assembly and to connect to a cart, the cart engagement assembly comprising a transfer assembly engagement element, wherein the transfer assembly engagement element is configured to engage the cart engagement opening, wherein clamp latch is configured to lock and unlock the transfer assembly to the clamp fixture, and wherein the cart latch is configured to lock and unlock the cart engagement assembly to the transfer assembly.

There is disclosed a portably suspended retractable shelf for storing furniture-side items that includes a horizontal platform having an inner portion and an outer portion. In various embodiments, the inner portion is adapted to be slidably captured between an upper cushion and a lower supporting structure. At least one of a projector insert rotationally adjustable to a plurality of orientations and the following upward-facing compartments is disposed on the outer portion of the horizontal platform and is accessible to a user on the furniture: a collapsible basin, a hanging flexible pocket, and a foldable box. A cutout hole is configured to hold the projector insert or the compartments in a suspended configuration through the shelf. A downward-facing sliding drawer compartment is mounted and/or supported underneath the outer portion of the shelf. A storage container extends from a leading surface of the portable suspended retractable shelf. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
