Convertible ambulatory device kit
A kit for converting a crutch to a cane, table, or bench is disclosed. The kit includes a crutch, a picker, a tabletop panel, a foot pad, and a seat cushion. The crutch includes an upper section connected to a middle section by a first pivot and a lower section connected to the middle section by a second pivot. The first pivot and the second pivot orient the sections of crutch to position the crutch in an upright crutch configuration, a table configuration, a cane configuration, or a bench configuration. The picker attaches to the upper section when the crutch is in the table configuration. The foot pad attaches to the picker to stabilize the picker upright. The tabletop panel attaches to the upper section when the crutch is in the table configuration. The seat cushion attaches to the lower section when the crutch is in the bench configuration.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A CONVERTIBLE BENCH
Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a tabletop, is described herein. While the described systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a base having a first end piece that has a first set of legs with a first arched leg support that extends between the first set of legs and a second end piece having a second set of legs with a second arched leg support that extends between the second set of legs. The bench further includes a backrest/table portion that is hingedly coupled to the base so as to be pivotable from a first position that presents a backrest to a second position that presents a tabletop. SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A CONVERTIBLE BENCH
Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a tabletop, is described herein. While the described systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a base having a first end piece that has a first set of legs with a first arched leg support that extends between the first set of legs and a second end piece having a second set of legs with a second arched leg support that extends between the second set of legs. MODULAR BUILDING BLOCKS FOR FURNITURE
Modular building blocks may be used to provide furniture or other items. Each modular building block has a number of interleaved layers that provide first and second arms of the building block. Each modular building block comprises a first engageable finger section formed from one or more of the interleaved layers and a second engageable finger section formed from two or more interleaved layers. The second engageable finger section of one modular building block receives the first engageable finger section of another modular building block allowing various arrangements to be assembled.
CONVERTIBLE CHAIR
Convertible chairs that can be converted to and from an open chair configuration to a box or table configuration for storage and protection of the interior portions is provided. The convertible chairs can have include one or more of a sunshade, adjustable foot rest, legs, wheels, and can in some embodiments be a reclining chair. In some aspects, a cover portion can be used to cover a portion of the interior portions of the chair when the convertible chair is in a box configuration, and be folded and retracted into a pocket of the convertible chair when in an open chair configuration.
CONVERTIBLE CHAIR
Convertible chairs that can be converted to and from an open chair configuration to a box or table configuration for storage and protection of the interior portions is provided. The convertible chairs can have include one or more of a sunshade, adjustable foot rest, legs, wheels, and can in some embodiments be a reclining chair. In some aspects, a cover portion can be used to cover a portion of the interior portions of the chair when the convertible chair is in a box configuration, and be folded and retracted into a pocket of the convertible chair when in an open chair configuration.
CONVERTIBLE FURNITURE UNIT, SLAT FOR USE IN FORMING A FURNITURE UNIT AND METHOD OF USING A CONVERTIBLE FURNITURE UNIT
The convertible furniture unit comprises a hinge member pivotally linking first and second furniture portions to allow the first and second furniture portions to relatively pivot relative to each other to adopt a number of different angular relative positions, and a locking mechanism to releasably lock the first and second furniture portion in a given angular relative position. The first and second furniture portions each comprise a number of slats that are intermeshed with and are slidable between the slats of the other one of the first and second furniture portions. Each slat comprises a hinge portion pivotally attached to the hinge member, an arm extending away from the hinge portion and a free extremity opposite the hinge portion. The first and second furniture portions are capable of adopting at least:•a first position wherein the arms of the slats of the first furniture portion extend away from the hinge member and through the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion; and•a second position in which the arms of the slats of the first furniture portion extend away from hinge and away from the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion without crossing or extending through the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion. The first and second positions of the first and second furniture portions are both operable for use of the furniture unit by a user.
CONVERTIBLE FURNITURE UNIT, SLAT FOR USE IN FORMING A FURNITURE UNIT AND METHOD OF USING A CONVERTIBLE FURNITURE UNIT
The convertible furniture unit comprises a hinge member pivotally linking first and second furniture portions to allow the first and second furniture portions to relatively pivot relative to each other to adopt a number of different angular relative positions, and a locking mechanism to releasably lock the first and second furniture portion in a given angular relative position. The first and second furniture portions each comprise a number of slats that are intermeshed with and are slidable between the slats of the other one of the first and second furniture portions. Each slat comprises a hinge portion pivotally attached to the hinge member, an arm extending away from the hinge portion and a free extremity opposite the hinge portion. The first and second furniture portions are capable of adopting at least:•a first position wherein the arms of the slats of the first furniture portion extend away from the hinge member and through the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion; and•a second position in which the arms of the slats of the first furniture portion extend away from hinge and away from the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion without crossing or extending through the arms of the slats of the second furniture portion. The first and second positions of the first and second furniture portions are both operable for use of the furniture unit by a user.
MODULAR FURNITURE SYSTEM
A modular furniture system having a small set of interchangeable base components which can be assembled using common tools and disassembled without damaging the components, allowing the consumer to disassemble and reassemble the components to form another piece of furniture. The modular furniture system has a plurality of structural members, each with multiple rows of openings which extend through the structural members. A first row of openings of the multiple rows of openings has equally spaced first openings having a first diameter. A second row of openings of the multiple rows of openings has equally spaced second openings having a second diameter which is different than the first diameter. A first center line extending through the center of the first openings of the first row of openings is parallel to a second center line extending through the center of the second openings of the second row of openings.
