Each of the first and second storage compartments are provided with a front wall and a rear wall and two side walls each extending between the front wall and the rear wall. The carrier element is attached to an external side of the rear wall or one of the side walls. A loose storage compartment can be detachably coupled to one of the first or second storage compartments.

A storage compartment is formed from a blank made of sheet metal and comprises a base part and edge regions surrounding the base part, which edge regions are bent upwards by about 90 with respect to the base part. The upwardly bent edge regions are equipped with receiving and holding means, in each of which a plate-shaped element is insertable and is held. One each of a first edge region and a second edge region form a first side surface and a second side surface. The first side surface serves as a supporting surface for the plate-shaped element. The second side surface covers the frontal surface of the plate-shaped element. Furthermore, a projecting element is provided in the second side surface. The plate-shaped element is held between the supporting surface and the projecting element.

A storage compartment is formed from a blank made of sheet metal and comprises a base part and edge regions surrounding the base part, which edge regions are bent upwards by about 90 with respect to the base part. The upwardly bent edge regions are equipped with receiving and holding means, in each of which a plate-shaped element is insertable and is held. One each of a first edge region and a second edge region form a first side surface and a second side surface. The first side surface serves as a supporting surface for the plate-shaped element. The second side surface covers the frontal surface of the plate-shaped element. Furthermore, a projecting element is provided in the second side surface. The plate-shaped element is held between the supporting surface and the projecting element.

An assembly includes a drawer base and a drawer back panel and/or a drawer front panel. The drawer base is hinge-connected to the drawer back panel and/or the drawer front panel for transferring the assembly from a transport position into a use position. The drawer base is hinge-connected to the drawer back panel and/or to the drawer front panel by a film hinge or adhesive hinge, in particular a flexible foil and/or a film made of a hot-melt adhesive.
