RECLINING CHAIR
20230020288 · 2023-01-19 · ·

A reclining chair having a seat, backrest and armrest is provided. The armrest has a first portion associated with the seat and a second portion associated with the backrest. The first and second armrest portions are slidable relative to each other between a first position associated with a raised backrest and a second position associated with a reclined configuration. The armrest also has a locking mechanism of the sliding between the first and second armrest portions, and the locking mechanism has first and second locking seats and a locking element configured to couple alternatively to the first-or to the second locking seat. A coupling of the locking element to the first locking seat is associated with the first position and a coupling of the locking element to the second locking seat is associated with the second position.

Synchronous-tilt reclining chair

A synchronous-tilt reclining office chair includes a seat, a backrest interconnected to the seat, and an arrangement providing a synchronous-tilt mechanism that controls synchronous movement of the backrest and seat between a normal non-reclined position and a reclined position. Recline tension provided by the arrangement is a function of a force required to compress at least one tensioning spring mounted below the seat, a weight applied on the seat by a seat occupant, and a location of the weight on the seat relative to front and rear portions of the seat, whereby, as the weight is applied toward the front portion of the seat, recline tension is reduced and, as the weight is applied toward the rear portion of the seat, recline tension is increased.

Motion chair

A motion seat is described that includes a chassis, a seat frame, a seat cushion, a backrest, and a resilient hinge. The seat frame is attached to the chassis and the seat cushion and the backrest are each attached to the seat frame. The resilient hinge formed as a unitary body and may be formed from a resilient polymer. The seat cushion and/or the backrest is pivotably attached to the seat frame with the resilient hinge

Chair assembly with upholstery covering

A chair includes a base structure, a seat support structure, a back frame comprising a front surface, a rear surface and a forwardly extending bottom portion pivotably connected to the base, a biasing member biasing the back frame from a reclined position toward an upright position, wherein the biasing member is located entirely forward a rearward most edge of the seat support structure, and a back shell comprising a forwardly extending bottom portion connected to the seat support structure, a front surface, a rear surface positioned in front of the front surface of the back frame, a pair of laterally spaced side portions defining an opening therebetween, and a top portion extending laterally between and connected to the side portions, wherein each of the side portions are exclusively connected to the back frame at a first location.

Chair having tilting seat and back

An ergonomic chair includes a support body having a seat support portion and a back support portion. A forward sloping seat track is positioned on the seat support portion. A first seat portion engages the seat track on the seat support portion for forward and rearward movement along the seat track between a forward position and a rearward position. A second seat portion is provided having an upwardly extending back rest. The second seat portion is pivotally connected to the first seat portion. Movement of the first seat portion forward along the seat track toward the forward position draws the second seat portion forward with forward movement of the second seat portion causing movement of the back rest downwardly. This allows for subtle movement forward and backward movement that energizes major leg muscles.

Seat Tilting Mechanism

A seat tilting mechanism comprising a main body, a seat support, a backrest support and an articulation mechanism comprising a lever, a first portion of which defines along with a first arm, the seat support and the main body a first quadrilateral hinge, and a second portion of which defines alone with a second arm, the backrest support and the main body a second quadrilateral hinge. Interior corner angles and lengths of each side of the first and second quadrilateral hinges are such that a predetermined angular displacement ratio of the backrest support in relation to the seat support is provided. An extension resistance device is mounted between the main body and the first portion to provide resistance to rotation of the lever. A first end of the extension resistance device is rotationally mounted to the lever at a first mounting point, which is located between the midpoint and upper point, and is angularly displaced from a line extending between the midpoint and the upper point.

Seat Tilting Mechanism With Two Springs

Functional chair

A support mechanism for mounting a seat part to a foot part of a functional chair having a slide bearing which cooperates with a front section of the seat part, and a pivotable support part which is supported by a cantilever part and which is connected to a region of the seat part that is adjacent to the rear region of a seat surface section of the seat part.

CHAIR ARM ASSEMBLY

A chair assembly includes a base assembly, a seat assembly having a pair of side edges and a fore-to-aft extending longitudinal centerline, a back assembly movable between upright and reclined positions, and an arm assembly including an arm base extending from a first location between the side edges to a second location laterally outward of one of the side edges, wherein the arm base extends at an acute angle with respect to the longitudinal centerline and at an upward angle from the first location toward the second location, a support assembly supported by and extending upwardly from the arm base, and an armrest supported by the support assembly that is adjustable to support the armrest between a plurality of selected vertical positions, wherein the arm assembly and back assembly move at a different rate from one another as the back assembly is moved between the upright and reclined positions.
