A foldout bed is described. The foldout bed has a left side wall, a right side wall, and a top panel that extends between and attached to the top ends of the two side walls. The bottom end of each side wall is coupled with a counterbalance mechanism. A bed tray is pivotally coupled with a the counterbalance mechanisms and is transitionable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The bed tray provides a unitary planar surface that is configured to support a mattress and a person when in the open configuration. Each counterbalance mechanism has a frame and a piston that attaches the frame to the bed tray. The frame has a base flange disposed perpendicular to the side walls and located at the bottommost end of the counterbalance mechanism against a base plate of the wall.

Disclosed are foldable bed frames and beds. A foldable bed frame includes longitudinal bars, supporting assemblies to support the longitudinal bars, and links to couple one or more supporting assemblies with the longitudinal bars. Each supporting assembly includes vertical and crossed bars. When the beds are unfolded and in use, the vertical bars support the longitudinal bars and bear majority of the load. As such, the bed frames and beds are stable and safe to use.

A folding bed includes a bed frame and a bedding fitted onto the bed frame. The bed frame includes left and right longitudinal poles, vertical poles and groups of slanting poles. Each of the left and right longitudinal poles includes at least three pole pieces sequentially and pivotally connected together at adjacent end portions by unidirectional pivotal connection seats. Adjacent unidirectional pivotal connection seats are disposed facing in opposite directions with respect to each other, allowing the pole pieces to fold upwards or downwards. Upper ends of vertical pole are connected to corresponding unidirectional pivotal connection seats. Each group of slanting poles includes two slanting poles crosswise pivotally connected to each other. Upper ends of slanting poles are pivotally connected to support seats disposed on the pole pieces.

Disclosed are connectors and collapsible bed frames. A collapsible bed frame includes first and second frame units disposed side by side. Each of the first and second frame units comprises a plurality of bar units with adjacent bar units rotatably connected with each other. A collapsible bed frame also includes an inner lateral bar unit disposed between the first and second frame units, and rotatably connected with the first and second frame units. During contraction and expansion, the first frame unit, the second frame unit and the inner lateral bar unit remain substantially on a first plane defined by a top surface of the collapsible bed frame when it is expanded.

A bed frame has a left longitudinal support bar, a right longitudinal support bar and an intermediate longitudinal support bar, two sliding sleeves slidably disposed on the intermediate longitudinal support bar, wherein each of the sliding sleeve is provided with a bracket. The bed frame further comprises four connecting rods connected between the left longitudinal support bar or right longitudinal support bar and the intermediate longitudinal support rod, one end of each of the connecting rods is pivotally connected to the left or right longitudinal support bar, the other end is pivotally connected with the bracket so that the end of the connecting rod mounted on the bracket moves along with the sliding sleeve. The bed frame is simple and easy to fold and un-fold, while providing improved strength and stability.

FOLDING BED FRAME

A folding bed frame includes four vertical faces: two ends and two sides. Each face is formed by two slanting bars that are cross hinged together. The upper and lower ends of adjacent slanting bar sets are hinged together to form the whole frame structure. The two vertical faces are corresponding or symmetric, and each includes two sets of slanting bar sets that are hinged through to middle sections of the upper and lower angle plates. There is a vertical rod part on the cross-hinging point of each set of slanting bar set, and its movable position is set by a slide bushing. There is a barrier that is on the cross-hinging point of one of the slanting bars. The barrier can contact the upper part vertical bar, and form two support points with the slide bushing for the vertical bar part.
