PORTABLE REBOUNDING DEVICE
A method for generating a rebounding motion between a person and a surface includes the steps of providing a rebounding device comprising front and rear members and a spring mechanism therebetween and moving the front member and the rear member toward and away from one another via the spring mechanism.
Positional Therapy Maternity Belt
Implemented is a positional therapy maternity belt that interoperates with and leverages multiple removably attachable pillows and other components to facilitate enhanced and effortless positional therapy for a user during pregnancy. The maternity belt comes equipped with a right and left band that wraps around the user's waist. In between the bands and at a central region of the belt is overlaid a loop fastener to enable additional cushion and component attachment thereto. The left and right bands are comprised elastic strapping faced with 85% nylon and 15% polyester knit on the side that faces against the user's body (inside/interior side) and a 100% nylon loop face on the side that faces away from the user's body (outside/exterior side).
PORTABLE MEDICAL LIFT AND POSITIONING DEVICE AND ADAPTER THEREFORE
A lift and position device and adapter and methods of use therewith designed to aid attendants in moving and propping the various selected body parts of a patient from atop a support surface, for example, a mattress or hospital bed. The device utilizes a base for stability, a separately powered screw jack, radial adjustment head, a cushion cradle and a single or plurality of fitted cushion(s) configured to optimally raise and lower a particular body part of a patient such as his or her arms, torso, legs, back and the like. An adapter device may optionally re-orient the lift and positioning device, as appropriate, to suit the specific needs of an attendant wishing to the lift, shift, position or prop and secure a particular body part of a patient.
AUTO-INFLATING CUSHION STRUCTURE CAPABLE OF BEING COMPRESSED
An auto-inflating cushion structure includes an outer covering and an inner filling body. The inner filling body is accommodated in the outer covering and has a three-dimensional shape in a normal state. The outer covering is provided with an air valve unit. When not in use, the cushion can be compressed to become thin, thereby reducing the volume without occupying space. When in use, the external air flows into the outer covering, in cooperation with the expansion of the inner filling body, so that the interior of the cushion is automatically inflated. The cushion can serve as an auxiliary support for a user lying on his/her side. In particular, the storage is quite space-saving and the cushion is practical.
Micro-adjustment of cushions
A cover for a cushioning element, such as a pillow, volume adjustable. The cover includes one or more gathering elements that can alter a length and a volume of the cover. Each gathering element may extend around an end of the cover (e.g., circumferentially, helically around a circumference of the cover, etc.). Each gathering element may enable adjustment of the length and volume of the cover in extremely small increments or even continuously (i.e., in micro adjustments). The length and volume of the cover may be adjusted in a manner that limits or prevents migration of a cushioning element (e.g., an infill material, etc.) within the cover. A cushion, such as a pillow, may include a volume-adjustable cover with a cushioning element therein. Methods for adjusting the manner in which a cushioning element supports, molds around, underfills, and/or backfills a load and its form are also disclosed.
A SUPPORT UNIT FOR USE ON AN ARTICLE OF FURNITURE
A support unit for use on an article of furniture includes an adjustable support structure displacably mountable to the article of furniture and a cushion member carried by the support structure. The support structure is configured to be arranged in a first orientation relative to the article of furniture for enabling the cushion member to adopt a first position relative to the article of furniture and in a second orientation (46) relative to the article of furniture for enabling the cushion member to adopt a second position relative to the article of furniture.
Mattress support
A mattress support assembly includes a mattress cover that has a coupling feature. A support casing defines an attachment feature and is selectively coupled to the mattress cover via the coupling feature. A support member is operably coupled to the attachment feature of the support casing. The support member has a load surface, a base surface, and an expandable body defined between the load surface and the base surface.
Back Pillow and Back-Mounted Support Member for Measuring Body Parameters during Sleep and Facilitating Side Sleeping Orientation
A back-mounted support device provides a stable platform for various monitoring and position support devices. The support device comprises a stiffening member configured for placement along a user's spine, the stiffening member extending from a top end to be positioned between the user's shoulder blades to a bottom end to be positioned along the spine and near a waistline of the user. A shoulder attachment system is coupled to the stiffening member to stabilize an upper portion of the stiffening member. A waist attachment system is coupled to the stiffening member to stabilize a lower portion of the stiffening member. The shoulder and waist attachment systems are configured to stabilize the stiffening member along the spine, while minimizing irritating body contact. Monitoring devices may be mounted anywhere on the support device for facilitating monitoring of body parameters.
Adjustable ergonomic pillows
A triangular-shaped lower-body pillow has an upper and a lower triangular fabric panel joined along outer edges, seams joining the upper and lower fabric panels, forming a plurality of separate, fillable compartments, and closures along outer edges of the lower-body pillow, allowing access to the separate, fillable compartments. With the closures open, compartments are filled to a same or different thickness, and the closures are then closed.
