Extendable Seating Interconnected Mechanism and Seating Supporting Frame
An extendable seating interconnected mechanism and a seating supporting frame, including an interconnected assembly, a seating frame, and a backrest mount, wherein the backrest mount is rotatably connected to the interconnected assembly and the seating frame, respectively; the interconnected assembly includes a mounting plate and a driving link, wherein the mounting plate includes a lateral-plate part and a supporting part; the driving link is rotatably connected between the seating frame and the lateral-plate part; an end of the supporting part is connected to the lateral-plate part; and an opposite end of the supporting part is rotatably connected to the backrest mount. The interconnected mechanism and the seating supporting frame optimize and simplify the structure, leading to a compression of the height of the seating supporting frame; different seating positions may be adjusted smoother by connecting the extendable and retractable footrest mechanism and interconnected assembly, which improves the seating comfort.
Lightweight collapsible chair with trekking poles supports
Embodiments of chair systems incorporating trekking poles include a low-back design employing fixed-length trekking poles, and a high-back design employing adjustable-length trekking poles that allow for adjusting the recline angle of the chair. The chair system generally includes a tubular frame that releasably engages a flexible seat. The tubular frame includes a front hub and a rear hub spaced one from the other by a cross bar, plus front and rear footings which stabilize the chair system on the ground or undersurface. A V-shaped upper support extending from the front hub supports and holds open the leg portion of the flexible seat, while the trekking poles are releasably engaged with and extend upwardly from the rear hub to support, and hold open and upright the back portion of the flexible seat.
Seat, chair, and load support body
To realize a noble, useful seat with a simple structure designed to follow a natural movement of a seated person in front-rear and left-right directions and to support appropriately a movement of the person continuously changing its posture while the person balances a load. The seat includes the elastic support layer 3 and upper and lower base units 4 and 5 arranged to sandwich the elastic support layer 3. The upper base unit 4 includes the rolling surface 42e bulging toward the lower base unit 5 thereabove via the elastic support layer 3, is rollable in a 360° direction from the tilt reference position IRP in receiving a load of the seated person, and has a moving distal end side tilting more downward as a distance from the position IRP increases, and is configured to move while compressing the elastic support layer 3 by the rolling surface.
Motion chair
A motion seat is described that includes a chassis, a seat frame, a seat cushion, a backrest, and a resilient hinge. The seat frame is attached to the chassis and the seat cushion and the backrest are each attached to the seat frame. The resilient hinge formed as a unitary body and may be formed from a resilient polymer. The seat cushion and/or the backrest is pivotably attached to the seat frame with the resilient hinge
Automatically adjusting comfort system
An automatically adjusting comfort method includes measuring pressure applied by a user via a pressure-sensor array, determining a pressure profile based on measurements from the pressure-sensor array, comparing the pressure profile to a first limit, determining a cumulative pressure profile over a predetermined duration, comparing the cumulative pressure profile to a second limit, and adjusting one or more of a plurality of adjusting mechanisms configured to alter the pressure profile for increased comfort of the user when the pressure profile exceeds the first limit or the second limit. An automatically adjusting comfort system includes a pressure-sensor array communicatively coupled to a controller for determining a cumulative pressure profile over time, and a plurality of adjusting mechanisms configured to alter the pressure profile to increase a user's comfort, wherein the controller automatically adjusts one or more of the plurality of adjusting mechanisms based on the cumulative pressure profile.
Multi layered modular support system for lounge and other applications
A lounge having a matrix mat and a plurality of modules capable of being inserted into the matrix mat. The lounge may include a frame configured as a rigid frame, a modular frame, and combinations thereof. The modular frame may further include a tri-cable suspension. The tri-cable suspension may be attached to a dilator retractor mechanism. The modules may be a mushroom cap module, a spider spring module, a web module, a lighting module, an electronics module, and combinations thereof.
DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING A PERSON, METHOD FOR INFLUENCING THE SHAPE OF A SUPPORT FOR SUCH, AND RELATED PILLOW, CHAIR, MATTRESS, AND BED
A support device has a main support surface for a person's body, including an auxiliary device influencing the main support surface shape. The auxiliary device includes: a group of supports supporting the main support surface, positioned on the side of the main support surface facing away from the body-supporting side, the supports each including a sub-support surface; an adjuster for each sub-support surface influencing the height of each sub-support surface. The device also includes a monitor for each sub-support surface monitoring the height of the respective sub-support surface; and a programmable control unit controlling the adjuster. The supports include an elastically bendable plate connected to the adjuster. The bending plate is connected to the sub-support surface to influence its height depending on the extent of bending imposed by the adjuster. The adjuster includes an electromotor on the concave side of the bending plate.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A STANDING CHAIR FOR USE WITH A STANDING DESK
A standing chair apparatus for improving stretching and comfort for a user, for use with a standing desk, the apparatus includes a movable base. The standing chair further includes a calf stretching plane on the movable base. The standing chair further includes a tower portion, extending from the movable base, the tower portioning including multiple stretch points.
Lift chair and seat
A lift chair includes a lift mechanism that maintains a continuous seating position during forward and elevated movement by supporting the occupant's seat, arms and back. The mobile section of the chair will also lower the occupant to the normal seating height. The gel cushion seating surface is attached at least to the moveable section of the lift chair. The gel cushion seating surface of the chair has a plurality of gel cushion cylinders arranged in a grid that provide a rhythmically changing support area at multiple points on the occupant's buttocks and thighs. This provides a comforting massage which reduces stress on the body associated with prolonged seating.
