Upholstered furniture including molded furniture components
An upholstered chair, recliner, or sofa with a frame including a pair blowmolded hollow arm rest forms, wherein frame members extend between the forms. Further components may be blowmolded such as a backrest. The arm rest forms and backrest may be reinforced with metal plates and assembled into a recliner. The connections to the arm rest forms providing a geometrically rigid and robust frame that is weighs less, is quicker to assemble, and is more robust. Upholstery sacks are easily attached to the frame.

Textile deck assembly for furniture items
A textile deck assembly, method of fabricating, and method of installing onto a seat frame assembly. The textile deck assembly includes a platform portion and a plurality of straps coupled to a rearward edge of the platform portion. The materials of the textile deck assembly are matched so that the plurality of straps undergoes most or all of the elongation under load (e.g., when a person sits thereon), while the platform portion, even though it is flexible and compliant, is stretch resistant and undergoes little or no stretching under load. A battery of durability tests were performed on the textile deck assembly, including deflection testing, fatigue testing, and drop testing, and compared with conventional seat decks that utilize sinuous springs. The durability of the textile deck assembly to was found to outperform conventional seat decks.
ELASTIC BASE STRUCTURE AND UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE THEREWITH
An elastic base structure and a piece of upholstered furniture therewith. The elastic base structure includes a base frame comprising a pair of first support rods and a pair of second support rods connected to the pair of first support rod to form a square or rectangular structure; a plurality of serpentine springs; and a plurality of double-branched hook clips. Each serpentine spring has two oppose ends disconnectably connected to two double-branched hook clips that are in turn disconnectably connected to the pair of first support rods, respectively, such that the plurality of serpentine springs are parallel to each other.

Furniture spring system
A furniture spring system includes a lid configured to provide a seating surface. The lid includes a frame having two opposing frame members and a retention member associated with at least one of the two opposing frame members. The furniture spring system further includes a slat extending between the two opposing frame members. The slat includes a plurality of slat portions adjustably coupled to each other, such that a total length of the slat is adjustable.
Firmness controlling apparatus for a bed or seating arrangement
A firmness controlling apparatus for use in a bed arrangement or a seating arrangement is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a rigid frame having two opposed sides, and at least one non-elastic flexible elongate element extending between the two opposed sides. Each end of the non-elastic flexible elongate element is directly or indirectly connected to one of the opposed sides, and at least one of the ends is indirectly connected via an elastic flexible elongate element. A plurality of elongate springs are provided and extend in a flat or curved plane, the ends of each elongate spring being attached to one of the at least one non-elastic flexible elongate elements at two separated connections. A retraction device is arranged to tighten and slack the non-elastic flexible elongate element(s) between the two separated connections, thereby adjusting the distance between the two separated connections of each non-elastic flexible elongate element, and thereby controlling the curvature and height of the elongate springs.

Suspension arrangement for a seat and method of producing an elongate suspension member for a suspension arrangement for a seat
The present invention relates to a suspension arrangement (20, 120) for a seat comprising a plurality of elongate suspension members (21, 22, 121, 122) of a glass fibre filled plastic. Each elongate suspension member (21, 22, 121, 122) of the plurality of elongate suspension members includes in a longitudinal direction thereof a first end (23, 25, 123, 125) and an opposing second end (24, 26, 124, 126). The elongate suspension member (21, 22, 121, 122) has a meandered shape in the longitudinal direction. The present invention relates furthermore to a method for producing an elongate suspension member (21, 22, 121, 122).
