A staircase carpet stretcher, including a frame assembly, a manipulation assembly springingly connected to at least a portion of the frame assembly to facilitate gripping thereof, a first stretch bar assembly removably connected at a first end of the frame assembly to connect to a carpet of a staircase and move in response to compression of the manipulation assembly, and a second stretch bar assembly removably connected at a second end of the frame assembly to connect to the carpet and prevent movement of the frame assembly on the carpet.

A carpet stretcher device has an automatic adjusting tube that changes length with telescoping motion of an inside tube and an outside tube. A housing is mounted on the outside tube, and at least one lever is connected to the housing. A hand lever controls the motion of a spring-loaded rotating arm with a locking button positioned within the housing to insert and remove the locking button from holes in the tubes. When lifted away from the housing, the hand lever releases the rotating arms, which rotate to remove the locking button from holes in the tubes and thereby allow the tubes to telescope. The carpet stretcher may also have a floor lever that retracts when the device contacts a floor surface and extends when the device is lifted off a floor surface. When extended, the floor lever also releases the rotating arms, thereby allowing the tubes to telescope.

A carpet stretcher, the tail assembly including a slider block, a first end and a second end attached to the slider block, wherein at least one of the first end and second end is moveable relative to the other of the ends on the slider block to define a gap having a selected width; and a locking assembly engagable with the at least one of the first end and second end to fix the selected width.

A carpet stretcher comprising: a head mechanism; a tail mechanism; and an elongate extender; wherein the head mechanism is connected to a distal end of the elongate extender, and the tail mechanism is connected to a proximal end of the elongate extender; and wherein: the head mechanism comprises: a head element having a carpet engaging surface; an extension element for extending the elongate extender at its distal end so as to urge the head element distally; and a lever mechanism for actuating the extension element; characterised in that the tail mechanism comprises a tail element having a carpet engaging surface.

A carpet stretching apparatus includes a sleeve that has a first end and a second end. The first end is open. A carpet stretcher extends outwardly of the first end and is rotatable with respect to the sleeve. A locking member releasably engages the sleeve to the carpet stretcher in a first position or a second position. The first and second positions are orientated 90° with respect to each other. An anchor is attached to the second end of the sleeve and releasably engages the carpet.

A carpet stretching apparatus includes a sleeve that has a first end and a second end. The first end is open. A carpet stretcher extends outwardly of the first end and is rotatable with respect to the sleeve. A locking member releasably engages the sleeve to the carpet stretcher in a first position or a second position. The first and second positions are orientated 90° with respect to each other. An anchor is attached to the second end of the sleeve and releasably engages the carpet.

A carpet stretching assembly includes a carpet stretcher that has a strike plate, a gripper and a tube extending therebetween. The carpet stretcher is positionable on a floor having the gripper engaging carpet on the floor and having the strike plate horizontally oriented for striking with a knee. The tube has a first portion that is slidably coupled to a second portion such that the tube has an adjustable length. A tube shock absorber is positioned within the tube and the tube shock absorber biases the strike plate away from the gripper. The tube shock absorber absorbs impact energy from the striker shock absorbers. Moreover, the tube shock absorber transfers the impact energy from the striker shock absorbers into the gripper. In this way the tube shock absorber enhances stretching the carpet when the strike plate is struck.

A carpet-stretching apparatus, including a main frame to connect to at least a portion of a carpet as disposed on a surface, at least one carpet spike disposed on at least a portion of the main frame to be inserted into at least a portion of the carpet, such that at least a portion of the carpet moves in response to movement of at least a portion of the main frame, and a stretch bar manipulation assembly disposed on at least a portion of the main frame to move at least a portion of the main frame in response to a manipulation of the stretch bar manipulation assembly.

A carpet stretching assembly includes a carpet stretcher that has a strike plate, a gripper and a tube extending therebetween. The carpet stretcher is positionable on a floor having the gripper engaging carpet on the floor and having the strike plate horizontally oriented for striking with a knee. The tube has a first portion that is slidably coupled to a second portion such that the tube has an adjustable length. A tube shock absorber is positioned within the tube and the tube shock absorber biases the strike plate away from the gripper. The tube shock absorber absorbs impact energy from the striker shock absorbers. Moreover, the tube shock absorber transfers the impact energy from the striker shock absorbers into the gripper. In this way the tube shock absorber enhances stretching the carpet when the strike plate is struck.
