APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING CAFFEINE FROM BREWED, CAFFEINATED COFFEE
A system and method for reducing the amount of caffeine in an existing volume of brewed coffee. The brewed coffee contains a predetermined level of caffeine. To reduce the caffeine, a caffeine filter is provided. Furthermore, a coffee receptacle is provided to hold the decaffeinated coffee. A filter chamber is positioned over the coffee receptacle. The caffeine filter is placed in the filter chamber. Brewed coffee is dripped, poured, or otherwise advanced into the filter chamber. At least some of the brewed coffee flows through the caffeine filter and into the coffee receptacle. This reduces the level of caffeine of the filtered coffee entering the coffee receptacle. The system also enables a single source of brewed coffee to produce cups of both regular coffee and decaffeinated coffee, using only one type of regular ground coffee.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR BREWING BEVERAGES
The present disclosure generally relates to devices and methods for brewing beverages. More specifically, aspects of the present disclosure include devices suitable for brewing coffee from coffee beans which have been ground by the device using a rotor-stator assembly, and methods of brewing coffee using such a device.
Dispensing group for an espresso coffee machine with frontal insertion of the filter holder
A dispensing group for an espresso coffee machine is described. The group comprises: a coffee boiler configured to contain pressurized hot water; a supply duct for feeding hot water under pressure towards a puck of coffee powder; and a filter-holder support comprising guides (30) which form at least one sliding surface for slidably supporting a filter holder, wherein said filter-holder support is rotatable between a first position for inserting the filter holder and a second dispensing position and wherein said dispensing group comprises a mechanical locking device for locking the filter-holder support in the second dispensing position.
Coffee filter support device and method
Embodiments provided herein address these and other issues by providing a coffee filter support device that, when positioned placed at least partly in a coffee basket, provides a contact surface that prevents the coffee filter from collapsing inward during the brewing process. In one embodiment, the coffee filter support device has a frustoconical shape defined by a first aperture and a second aperture smaller than the first aperture.
A BREWING DEVICE FOR A MACHINE FOR PREPARING BEVERAGES, IN PARTICULAR COFFEE OR TEA
A brewing device for a machine for preparing beverages, in particular coffee or tea, in which the brewing device comprising a brewing chamber having a longitudinal axis, a frame having two walls arranged on opposite sides of the brewing chamber, and a fastening device. The fastening device is configured to releasably couple the brewing device to a support body in the beverage preparation machine and comprises a lever release device hinged to the frame to rotate about an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis between a normal coupling position, in which the lever release device stably holds the brewing device on the support body, and a release position, in which the lever release device allows the brewing device to be released from, or mounted on, the support body.
Device for extracting a substance to be brewed
A device for extracting a substance to be brewed comprising: an extraction compartment in a first and a second portion, movable relative to the first portion to switch the compartment between a closed position and an open position; a linking device between the first and the second portion, comprising a holder with a first link so configured as to produce a rotation of the holder relative to the first portion, and a second link relative to the second portion, and the device comprises an articulation joint so configured as to successively produce, during a rotational motion of the holder about the first link in a first direction of rotation, a first tilting of the second portion in the first direction, then a second tilting of the second portion in a second direction opposite the first direction.
Automatic Drip Beverage Maker With Display on Brew Basket Assembly
An automated drip beverage maker includes a base having a platform, a vertical arm extending upwardly from the base, and a head extending generally horizontally from an upper end of the arm. The platform includes a heating element electrically connected to a power source. The base further includes a reservoir and a conduit fluidly connected to the reservoir, the conduit being routed adjacent the heating element. The automated drip beverage maker further comprises a brew basket assembly pivotally attached to the head. The brew basket assembly includes a brew basket and the brew basket assembly is movable between a brewing position, in which the brew basket is directly beneath the head and located to receive fluid from the conduit, and an access position, in which the brew basket is pivoted to a position beside the head to enable access to the brew basket. The brew basket assembly further comprises an integrated display panel electrically connected with the heating element.
