A grill system having a housing, a frame, movably imbedded inside the housing through a top of the housing, a grate covering a top of the frame, a wheel adjacent to a side of the housing, connected to a wheel shaft, parallel to the grate and connected to the frame, a lock securing the wheel in set positions, and a heat source inside the frame below the grate and above the wheel shaft. The wheel and wheel shaft being rotatable such that the frame and the grate are raised or lowered out of or into the housing as the wheel and wheel shaft rotate. The heat source is movable independent from the wheel, wheel shaft, frame, and grate, and the grate cannot be lowered below the heat source.

A grill apparatus that raises and lowers a coal grate to and away from a food grill. The grill apparatus includes an oven having a bottom oven portion in the shape of an upright bowl, a top oven portion in the shape of an inverted bowl, and a middle portion in the shape of a cylinder. A cranking of a handle outside of the oven rotates a shaft running through the oven. The shaft spools up and spools out a tether engaged to the coal grate to draw a heat source on the coal grate to and away from food items on the food grill.

A cooking grill having a fire box with a cooking region and a panel at the rear or side of the cooking region of the firebox. The panel is adapted to support a shelf above the cooking region, the shelf having at least one prong extending therefrom. The panel has at least one aperture for receiving a respective prong of the shelf, and an abutment, for each aperture, positioned on the side of the panel remote from the cooking region and positioned with respect to its aperture to bear a respective prong of a shelf inserted through its aperture. The invention provides an automated displacement and turnover system and a device thereof. A barbecue grill that includes a table defining a chamber to receive combustible fuel and a grill basket having a grill platform arranged facing the chamber and adapted to be moved vertically between a lowest position and a highest position and multiple positions therebetween. The grill includes an electric motor operatively connected to the grill platform to move the grill basket between its lowest and highest positions, and a plurality of temperature sensors adapted to monitor a temperature of the grill platform. A controller is arranged in communication with the plurality of temperature sensors and the electric motor and is configured to raise and lower the grill basket to maintain the grill platform at a desired temperature.
