A barbecue utensil having at least one tool which can be stowed in a housing, wherein preferably at least one tool is designed in the form of a foldable turner. A plurality of tools such as, for example, barbecue tongs, a bread knife and/or a fork can be combined with one another.

A food gripping assembly includes a panel that has a first side, a second side, a first end edge, a second end edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The panel has a fold line therein extending from the first lateral edge to the second lateral edge allowing the second side to be folded onto itself such that the first and second end edges are positioned adjacent to each other. A pair of finger pockets is attached to the front side and the fold line is positioned between the finger pockets. Each of the finger pockets has a receiving opening is directed toward the fold line. The first and second end edges are spaced from each other to extend the panel around a food article and then closed onto the food article.

The present device is that of a spatula with clamp lever and is intended for use in the handling, cooking, and serving of foods. The apparatus of the present device is comprised of a spatula and a clamp lever that can be configured either as a permanently attached clamp lever or a removable clamp lever for use only when clamping is desired. The clamp lever itself comprises a clamping blade and a trigger, and is constructed as a single Class-I type lever where the clamping blade and the trigger are positioned on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis of the spatula. The trigger, actuated by the index finger in a finger-squeezing like motion similar to that of a pistol trigger, rotates the clamp lever about its fulcrum resulting in the clamp blade to move towards the spatula blade.

Provided herein are embodiments of a roasting basket, for example, a collapsible roasting basket for cooking items, for example, food items. The collapsible roasting basket described herein comprises a wire body having a top portion, a bottom portion, an expanded configuration, a collapsed configuration, and a handle receiver located in the top portion.

A lockable food handling apparatus provides ease of use to users. The apparatus includes a pair of arms each having a respective engagement member and end. The arms are affixed at a pivot point defined at a fastening point adjacent the ends of the pair of arms. A spring mechanism is positioned between the two arms which applies a linear force to the first arm and the second arm. Affixed to an inner surface of one of the pair of arms is a track that includes a retaining element positioned adjacent the ends of the pair of arms. Due to a difference in length of the ends of the pair of arms, one of the ends may engage the retaining element when the ends of the pair of arms are pivoted toward the retaining element, thus placing the apparatus into a reversible locked state.

A system for including a multi-purpose cooking tool including a spatula assembly, a tongs assembly and a fork assembly is disclosed. The spatula assembly includes a spatula with a top cavity and a bottom cavity. Removably secured flushly within the top cavity are tongs from the tongs assembly. Removably secured flushly within the bottom cavity is a fork of the fork assembly. The tongs, fork and spatula secured together in a compact configuration. With the tongs, fork and spatula all being readily available to use during cooking.

Dual Prong Skewer with Interlocking Shaft, Removable Tooled Handle and Integrated Storage Container is disclosed. This invention keeps hands at a safer distance to prevent burns. A person's hand should not come in contact with a skewer that has been exposed to the heat source. The dual prong skewer will provide ease of food turning. A tong with a lock that can be actuated using one hand without changing a grip on the tong and without having to change an orientation of the tong. The lock can be engaged and disengaged. by squeezing arms of the tong together. The lock can have a latch on one arm and a strike on the other arm. When the arms are squeezed together the strike engages the latch into a locked configuration. From the locked configuration, when the arms are squeezed again, the latch releases the strike.

A food handling device includes two tong arms with each tong arm including a food handling tool at its distal end. The two tong arms are connected by a resilient connecting joint at their proximal ends. The first tong arm food handling tool includes at least one prong. The second tong arm food handling tool includes an angled spatula.

The present invention relates to protective shield for use with a plurality of interchangeable cooking tools and/or utensils, such as a spatula, spoon, and the like. The protective shield offers protection from splashes from hot oil and grease, exposed heat and flame, and attaches to a handle end of the utensil via a threaded or other secure mechanism. The protective shield is conically shaped and includes a strap and a latch on a circumference of a base of the structure, which is used to expand and retract the size and circumference of the protective shield.
