Enclosed emergency wash cabinets

Various apparatus and methods for providing emergency washing including means for discouraging tampering of the various valves.

Integrated emergency wash and shower system

Apparatus and methods for integrated emergency wash systems. Various embodiments include thermostatically controlled mixing valves arranged so as to permit load carrying by the body of the valve. Further, the integrated wash systems are especially suited for use in laboratories and manufacturing settings in which available space is at a premium.

EMERGENCY SHOWER TEST DEVICE
20230097427 · 2023-03-30 ·

An emergency shower test device for testing an emergency shower includes: a collection container; an inlet pipe, which has at an upper end thereof a receiving section for a head of the emergency shower, which opens at a lower end thereof into the collection container and which is vertically adjustable by a lockable adjusting device, the inlet pipe being largely retractable into the collection container; a drainage system arranged in a lower region of the collection container for emptying the collection container; and a frame in which the collection container is arranged in an elevated position. The receiving section of the inlet pipe is integrated into the upper end of the inlet pipe. The inlet pipe has a constant diameter for fully accommodating the head of the emergency shower, the adjusting device including a reversed rope with a counterweight adapted to a weight of the inlet pipe.

APPARATUS FOR SECURING A COLLAPSIBLE WATER DAM
20170311764 · 2017-11-02 ·

An apparatus for securing a collapsible water dam is an end-cap with a semi-cylindrical housing. The end-cap further includes a side flange coupled to each side of the housing at the bottom periphery of the outside wall of housing. The end-cap further includes a barrier wall inside the housing that creates a secure chamber for housing a collapsible water dam. The end-cap further includes a wall flange at the distal end of the housing. The wall flange couples to and joins both side flanges in a configuration that provides a tight fit with the end wall of a shower.

System and method for controlling and monitoring bathroom water flow

The disclosure relates to a device that saves water, energy, and money and may record the savings with a software analytics dashboard. The device allows cold water to flow out when the shower is first turned on and slows or shuts water flow once the water is heated and the shower is unoccupied. After the presence of the user is detected, the shower flow may resume.

SHOWER FALL PREVENTION DEVICE
20170224566 · 2017-08-10 ·

A device may be provided for preventing fatal bathroom accidents relating to falls. Such a shower fall prevention device may be attached to a fixing point on a ceiling of a shower and may have two arm pit hooks pivotably connected to the fixing point. It may further comprise a rod connected between the fixing point and a bar, where arm pit hooks may be connected on right and left ends of the bar. The device may further comprise a strong rubber band or an extendable and retractable belt, connected between the fixing point and the rod. The device may further comprise a handle next to the rod and connected to the bar via an extension of a free end of one of the arm pit hooks, and may further comprise a cushion formed on an extension of a free end of one of the arm pit hooks.

INTEGRATED WATER DETECTION SENSOR
20170228999 · 2017-08-10 ·

The water detection sensor includes a retrofit system such as a water-proof housing that selectively attaches to an exterior of a water conduit coupled at or near a dispense outlet of an emergency safety shower or emergency eyewash unit. The sensor may include a pair of guidewires that extend through the body of the water conduit and have a pair of respective electrodes that reside therein in non-conductive relation during an “off” or “no flow” condition. In an “on” or “flow” condition, the electrodes become immersed in water and can conduct electricity therebetween by way of the electrically conductive water medium. As such, a water conductivity circuit coupled thereto and disposed within the water-proof housing may relay a signal to a controller, which activates an audible or visual alarm that water is flowing through the emergency safety shower and/or the emergency eyewash unit.

Gravity shower

Embodiments provide a stand-alone or self-contained gravity-fed emergency shower including a shower head. A water-tight reservoir is provided, the reservoir including an outlet in fluid communication with a shower head, and an air inlet pipe. The air inlet pipe includes an interior end and an exterior end, the interior end extending into the reservoir to a point below the fill level and above the outlet. The air inlet pipe allows air to enter the reservoir as water drains through the outlet, maintaining a substantially constant head pressure at the outlet, thereby resulting in a substantially constant flow rate of water to the shower head.

MODULAR PORTABLE SANITATION CHAMBER
20210401237 · 2021-12-30 ·

A system for a sanitation chamber that can attach to a building is provided. The system generally comprises a frame, crossbeam members, panels, tarp, rails, tank, tubing, and power supply. A plurality of braces and crossbeam members are configured to create a frame having the structural ability to support a tank. Rails connected to the frame are configured to hold the tank. At least one crossbeam member may be configured in a way that causes a portion of the crossbeam to extend above any horizontally aligned braces of the frame, causing any tarp connected to the horizontally aligned crossbeam members to have a pitch. A pump sucks fluid from the reservoir of the tank via tubing running from the reservoir and to the chamber created by the frame. A plurality of holes in the tubing causes the fluid to be emitted in the form of a mist within said chamber.
