Exemplary embodiments of tabletop dispensers are disclosed herein. An exemplary tabletop dispenser for dispensing soap, sanitizer or lotion includes a bottle. The bottle has a neck that has a neck diameter. A pump assembly having a cylindrical housing is also included. The cylindrical has a cylindrical housing diameter that is less than the neck diameter. A controller board, a battery, a motor and a pump are at least partially located within the cylindrical housing. The pump assembly is configured to be located within the neck and the bottle. A sensor for sensing an object and an outlet nozzle are also included.
Finger moistening assembly
A finger moistening assembly for moistening a user's fingertips includes a housing that has a hand space integrated into the housing to accommodate a user's hand. The housing is fillable with a saline solution. A pump is integrated into the housing to spray a predetermined volume of the saline solution into the hand space when the pump is turned on to moisten the user's fingertips. A motion sensor is integrated into the shelf portion and the pump is turned on when the motion sensor senses motion. A stand is provided and the stand is positionable on a support surface. The housing is attachable to the stand such that the housing is accessible to the user.
Hand cleaning systems
An integrated hand cleaning system includes a hand cleaning housing including dispensing spout and a sensor. An actuator is operatively connected to the housing. A cleaning substance reservoir is in fluid communication with the dispensing spout. A controller is operatively connected to the sensor and to the actuator. The controller is configured to activate the actuator based on detection of a user's hand by the sensor. A method for controlling a hand cleaning system includes receiving, with a controller, a sensor signal from a sensor in a hand cleaning housing. The method includes activating an actuator of a hand cleaning system with the controller based on the sensor signal.
DISPENSER FOR DISPENSING A HYGIENE PRODUCT AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF OPERATING
A dispenser is provided for dispensing a hygiene product. The dispenser includes, comprising a time-of-flight sensor for measuring a position of an object relative to the dispenser; and a controller configured to selectively operate at least one function of the dispenser based on the measured position of the object relative to the dispenser. A method of operating at least one function of a dispenser for dispensing a hygiene product is also provided. The method includes measuring with a time-of-flight sensor a position of an object relative to the dispenser; and using a controller to selectively operate the at least one function of the dispenser based on the measured position of the object relative to the dispenser.
Power Management System For Dispenser
A power management system for a dispenser that includes a passive infrared radiation sensor arranged along the dispenser and configured to detect infrared radiation emitted by one or more users within a prescribed detection range, area, or zone of the dispenser. When the passive infrared radiation sensor does not capture infrared radiation within the prescribed detection range, area, or zone, the dispenser is placed in a low power state with the passive infrared sensor remaining connected to a power source and a controller, a dispensing mechanism, and/or the proximity sensor being disconnected from the power source. Other aspects also are described.
Ubiquitous, embedded surface-cleansing devices
New forms of self-cleansing surfaces are provided. In some embodiments, a self-cleansing surface is provided, which is configured to be handled by a human user, as a user interface. The self-cleansing surface may comprise one or more surface device(s), with surface-covering pores configured to release a cleanser upon physical contact or actuation of the user interface, and configured to clean the self-cleansing surface. In some embodiments, the release is mediated by a physical trigger. In some embodiments, the surface device includes a control system that monitors surface handling with a sensor, and mediates the release with an actuator. The invention may be provided on or in any form of user interface that may be physically touched by a user. For example, in some embodiments, the invention may be provided on door handles or controls, appliance handles or controls, and any other user interfaces bearing a risk of carrying microbes.
Methods, systems, and devices for detecting and analyzing activation of a fluid dispenser
Methods, systems, and devices for using a specialized sensor for detecting activation of a fluid dispenser and for using gathered data therefrom for a variety of purposes, including determining when to refill the dispenser, tracking and analyzing operation thereof, matching operation to expected or anticipated operation, and identifying specific users and specific incidents of use associated therewith. Also provided are use of remote data repositories and/or processing devices that for processing and use of such data.
HAND CLEANING DEVICE
A hand cleaning device, including a main body, including a cleaning section to store at least one liquid therein, and a drying section disposed on at least a portion of the cleaning section to facilitate movement of air therein, a cleaning unit disposed on and within at least a portion of the cleaning section to spray at least one liquid within the cleaning section in response to detecting movement within the cleaning section, a scrubbing unit disposed within at least a portion of the cleaning section to scrub using a cleaning agent, and a drying unit disposed within at least a portion of the drying section to blow the air within the drying section in response to detecting movement within the drying section.
COUNTERMOUNT FLUID DISPENSER
A counter mount fluid dispenser has a spout having an opening for dispensing a fluid. The connection shaft extends downwardly from the spout. A swivel base is mounted to the connection shaft. The swivel base swivels relative to the connection shaft. The swivel base includes a mounting shaft having a mounting shaft nut that is configured with the spout to engage a countertop by clamping force. The mounting shaft nut has a mounting shaft nut lower extension. A mounting shaft nut external thread is formed on an external surface of the mounting shaft nut lower extension. A mounting shaft nut retainer is threaded to the mounting shaft nut lower extension.
