The service cabinet is coupled to the chassis and defines a cavity. The cavity receives a plurality of fluid access points collectively therein.

A surface maintenance machine is provided having a maintenance head assembly positioned substantially within an envelope of the machine. The maintenance head assembly has at least one maintenance tool attachable thereto. The machine also includes a tool eject mechanism positioned below an upper surface of the body. The tool eject mechanism can generate a drop force sufficient to overcome the force between the maintenance tool and the maintenance head assembly. The tool eject mechanism can have an eject button extending above the upper surface of the deck. The eject button can be actuable by at least a portion of the upper surface of the body of the machine when the maintenance head assembly is raised toward the upper surface of the body of the machine beyond a transport position into a tool eject position. When actuated, the tool eject mechanism can eject the maintenance tool from the maintenance head assembly

The present disclosure provides a mobile robot. The mobile robot includes a body, a pair of spin mops rotatably mounted to the body, a mop motor configured to provide a driving force to the pair of spin mops, an optical flow sensor configured to obtain bottom-view image information using light at a regular time interval, and a controller configured to determine whether the material of the floor is a troublesome material based on the bottom-view image information sensed by the optical flow sensor and to control, upon determining that the material of the floor is a troublesome material, the mop motor to perform an entry restriction operation.

The present disclosure provides a mobile robot. The mobile robot includes a body, a pair of spin mops rotatably mounted to the body, a mop motor configured to provide a driving force to the pair of spin mops, an optical flow sensor configured to obtain bottom-view image information using light at a regular time interval, and a controller configured to determine whether the material of the floor is a troublesome material based on the bottom-view image information sensed by the optical flow sensor and to control, upon determining that the material of the floor is a troublesome material, the mop motor to perform an entry restriction operation.

The present disclosure relates to a grinding head (1) for a floor grinding machine for grinding floor surfaces of stone or stone-like material. Such a grinding head (1) comprises a lower casing member (3), comprising a lower support (31) and an upwardly extending edge portion (32), and an upper casing number (2), comprising an upper cover (21) and a downwardly extending edge portion (22), wherein the upper casing member (2) is joinable to the lower casing member (3) by causing axially distal portions of the edge portions to bear on each other.

A method of controlling the robotic floor cleaning machine is disclosed that includes sensing, by a sensor on the robotic cleaning machine, an object within a sensed field. The method further includes determining, by a safety controller on the robotic cleaning machine, whether the object is an immovable object (such as a wall), and deploying an extendable cleaning element to clean the floor surface up next to the wall. The method can further include deploying the extendable cleaning element such that the extendable cleaning element is in contact with and cleans the floor up to an edge of the immovable object. Additionally, the method can include determining that the object is a movable object (such as a living thing) and preventing the extendable cleaning element from extending such that the robotic cleaning machines does not contact the movable object.

A fluid dispensing scrubber includes a shaft having a first end and a second end; a fluid inlet configured to receive a first fluid from an external source; a reservoir configured to store a second fluid; a valve assembly configured to selectively mix the first fluid and the second fluid; a scrubbing head supported adjacent the first end of the shaft, the scrubbing head including a brush and a motor operable to rotate the brush; a battery pack supported adjacent the second end, the battery pack operable to provide power to the motor; and a dispensing nozzle configured to selectively dispense one or both of the first fluid and the second fluid, the nozzle supported on an exterior surface of the scrubbing head.

A method of controlling a moving robot is provided. The method of controlling a moving robot includes the steps of: (a) performing a basic motion of the moving robot which moves on a rotating mop; (b) measuring the slip rate of the moving robot; and (c) controlling the travel of the moving robot.
