DISHWASHING APPLIANCE CLOGGED DRAIN LINE PREVENTION
A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber therein for receipt of articles for washing, a heating element, a sump positioned at a bottom of the wash chamber for receiving fluid from the wash chamber, a drain pump in communication with the sump, and a temperature sensor. Methods of operating the dishwashing appliance may include filling the sump with a liquid and heating the liquid by activating the heating element. Such methods also may include measuring a temperature of a liquid in the sump with the temperature sensor and comparing the measured temperature of the liquid to a minimum drain temperature threshold. Such methods may include draining the liquid from the sump after the measured temperature is equal to or greater than the minimum drain temperature threshold, such as immediately after heating the liquid.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a dishwasher including a main body provided with an open hole and a washing tub; a door configured to open or close the open hole; a door opening/closing member configured to open or close the open hole; an air curtain disposed in the main body, to operate a fan such that ambient air is sucked and the sucked air is discharged; a detector configured to detect information of the fan; and a controller configured to diagnose the failure of the fan based on the detected information of the fan, to control an operation of the door opening/closing member such that the door is opened at a predetermined open time and an open time of the door is delayed when the fan is a failure state, and to control an operation of the fan when the fan is a normal state during a drying operation.
DISHWASHER WITH IMAGE-BASED DIAGNOSTICS
A dishwasher and method utilize an imaging system to perform various diagnostic operations within the dishwasher, including one or more of level sensing, filter cleaning, wash tub rinse down, foam detection, imaging system cleaning, and remote viewing.
DISHWASHER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME
The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher and a method of controlling the same. The dishwasher may determine an amount of foam in a wash space using a turbidity sensor measuring a turbidity value of wash water. Additionally, the dishwasher may perform a foam removal operation based on the amount of the foam in the wash space. In this case, the turbidity value measured by the turbidity sensor may be used. The foam removal operation may include a drainage operation, a water supply operation, and a wash operation that are consecutively performed, and may be performed in one or more of a pre-wash course, a main wash course, and a heating and rinsing course.
CONTROL OF CLEANING MACHINE CYCLES USING MACHINE VISION
Image classification is used to dynamically control one or more wash parameters in an automated cleaning machine. An imaging device installed in the wash chamber of the cleaning machine captures one or more image(s) of articles to be cleaned at various times throughout a cleaning process. A computing device analyzes the captured image(s) to classify the images as to an article type and a rack volume. Based on the article type classification and the rack volume, the computing device dynamically controls one or more parameters of the cleaning process to achieve a satisfactory cleaning and/or sanitizing result.
Condition warning system, control system and method for pot and pan washing machine
A condition warning system for an apparatus such as a pot and pan washing machine, a control system and control methods for a pot and pan washing machine are provided. The condition warning system includes a control system that monitors operational, safety or compliance parameters of an apparatus, and a light that illuminates a location below (or above) an operator's direct line of sight, and which is outside of the operator's direct line of sight. The control system and control methods include a punitive wash action lockout, an extended wash cycle time, and a deep clean wash cycle.
Method for setting a time of a release of a cleaning agent during a cleaning cycle in a household appliance
A method for setting a time of a release of a cleaning agent during a cleaning cycle in a household appliance includes obtaining an evolution over time of a local parameter inside the appliance, the local parameter comprising an acceleration induced by the cycle or a temperature inside the appliance; obtaining reference patterns of evolutions of the local parameter during a cycle comprising different cleaning steps including a step adapted for releasing the cleaning agent at a predetermined adapted time; comparing the evolution of the local parameter to the reference patterns and identifying a cleaning step within the cycle when a similarity between a reference pattern and the evolution is above a predetermined threshold, and setting the release of the agent at the predetermined adapted time within the identified cleaning step when the identified step corresponds to a step adapted for releasing the agent.
Targeted dish cleaner
A system and method for cleaning a dish, comprising: illuminating said dish with a light source; capturing an image of said dish with a camera; inspecting said image to determine if said dish is clean; and estimating locations of dirty regions on said dish; spraying a fluid with a first nozzle on said dish with a predetermined spray distribution, wherein said first nozzle can reorient or relocate to spray said fluid on any region of said dish visible in said image; and spraying a fluid with a second nozzle on said dish with a spray distribution having a smaller coverage than that of said first nozzle, wherein said second nozzle is relocated or reoriented such that the fluid reaches said dirty regions at said locations on said dish; whereby dirty regions of said dish are targeted for a fast and efficient cleaning of said dish.
Spot detection assembly for a dishwasher appliance
A dishwasher appliance includes a cabinet having a wash chamber for receipt of articles for cleaning, a rack assembly slidably received into the wash chamber and configured for the receipt of the articles, and a fluid dispensing assembly for dispensing a fluid onto the articles in the rack assembly during operation of the dishwasher appliance. Further, the dishwasher appliance includes a spot detection assembly. The spot detection assembly includes a transparent component and an imaging device arranged adjacent to the transparent component. As such, the imaging device is configured to detect one or more fluid spots on the transparent component, which is indicative of fluid spots being present on the articles.
HIGH SPEED REUSABLE BEVERAGE CONTAINER WASHING SYSTEM WITH AIR KNIFE CHAMBER FOR SUPPLYING AIR TO A ROTATABLE AIR KNIFE OPENING
A beverage container washing system may be used for rapid washing and/or sanitizing of beverage containers, e.g., for use in a retail environment to wash and/or sanitize customer-provided beverage containers prior to filling the beverage containers with purchased beverages, among other applications. The beverage container washing system may include multiple concentric housing members supported on a base, and an air knife chamber that supply air from a stationary air supply to an air knife opening on a rotatable one of the concentric housing members.
