DISHWASHER WITH IMAGE-BASED DIAGNOSTICS
A dishwasher and method utilize an imaging system to perform various diagnostic operations within the dishwasher, including one or more of level sensing, filter cleaning, wash tub rinse down, foam detection, imaging system cleaning, and remote viewing.
Dishwasher with image-based diagnostics
A dishwasher, comprising: a wash tub; a sprayer configured to spray fluid within the wash tub; an imaging device configured to capture images within the wash tub; and a controller coupled to the imaging device and configured to perform a remote start of a wash cycle in the dishwasher in response to receiving a remote start command from a remote device by: controlling the imaging device to capture one or more images within the wash tub; initiating communication of the captured one or more images to the remote device for viewing on the remote device; waiting to receive a confirmation from the remote device; and starting the wash cycle in response to receiving the confirmation from the remote device.
SYSTEM WITH A DISHWASHER, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
A system includes a dishwasher including a washing chamber, a sensor unit designed to detect a time curve of at least one sensor signal of a washing liquor and to output the detected time curve of the at least one sensor signal, a memory unit designed to store the time curve of the at least one sensor signal, an ascertaining unit designed to ascertain a temporal functional value based on the time curve of the at least one sensor signal, and a control device designed to carry out a washing program for washing washware in the washing chamber of the dishwasher and to carry out a specified action as a function of the temporal functional value..
Dishwasher with image-based diagnostics
A dishwasher and method utilize an imaging system to perform various diagnostic operations within the dishwasher, including one or more of level sensing, filter cleaning, wash tub rinse down, foam detection, imaging system cleaning, and remote viewing. A controller may clean a filter by controllably-redirecting a controllably-movable sprayer to spray fluid onto the filter.
Dishwashing appliances and methods for addressing obstructions therein
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as detecting a pressure (P1) at a pressure sensor upstream from a pump while maintaining the pump in an inactive state and activating the pump from the inactive state for an activation period during which the pump remains active to motivate a continuous fluid flow. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P2) at the pressure sensor upstream from the pump during the activation period and initiating a response sequence at the pump based on P1 and P2.

A controller may clean a filter by controllably-redirecting a controllably-movable sprayer to spray fluid onto the filter.
Dishwasher and method of controlling the same
A dishwasher and a control method thereof are disclosed. The dishwasher includes a tub accommodating an object to be washed, a spray arm rotatably provided inside the tub to spray wash water toward the object to be washed, a sump for storing wash water and collecting wash water sprayed into the tub therein, a filter separably mounted to the sump to remove foreign substances from wash water, a wash pump for supplying wash water stored in the sump to the spray arm, and a circulation passage for diverting at least a portion of the wash water supplied to the spray arm by the wash pump to the sump. After the dishes are washed, all of the wash water introduced into the wash pump is diverted into the filter. Foreign substances present in the wash water are collected in the filter and are discharged outside along with the wash water.
Dishwashing appliances and methods for addressing obstruction therein
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as measuring an initial pressure in a sump with a pressure sensor, activating a drain pump when the measured initial pressure in the sump is greater than or equal to a first pressure threshold, and starting a timer when the drain pump is activated. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for monitoring pressure within the sump with the pressure sensor after activating the drain pump, recording a value of the timer as a first time when the monitored pressure reaches a second pressure threshold, calculating a time limit based on the recorded first time value, and determining that the filter is clogged when the monitored pressure does not reach a third pressure threshold before the time limit expires.
Dishwashing appliances and methods for addressing obstruction therein
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as activating the drain pump for an activation period and receiving a pump-status signal during the activation period. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P1) upstream from the drain pump during the activation period, determining a condition at the filter based on the pump-status signal and P1, and directing the drain pump based on the determined condition.
Dishwasher, method and control system for handling clogging condition
A method for handling a clogging condition in a dishwasher may include detecting the clogging condition; upon detecting the clogging condition, interrupting a wash cycle of the dishwasher and executing a remedial operation to remove the clogging condition. The remedial operation may include executing a drain operation for a predetermined drain time during which a drain pump may be continuously or intermittently operated to drain water from a sump of the dishwasher; following the drain operation, executing a fill operation for a predetermined fill time during which a fill valve may be continuously or intermittently activated to add water to the dishwasher; and following the fill operation, executing a circulation operation during which a circulation pump may be continuously or intermittently operated to remove the clogging condition. A dishwasher and a control system for handling a clogging condition are also provided.
