The cleaning system (110) comprises: a) at least one cleaning device (116), comprising at least one cleaning chamber (120) and at least one application device (122) for applying at least one cleaning fluid to the articles (112) to be cleaned in the cleaning chamber (120); and b) at least one transport system (118), comprising a plurality of transport segments (124) for receiving the articles (112) to be cleaned, wherein the transport segments (124) are guided such that they can be transported through the cleaning chamber (120) in circulation in a transport direction (114), wherein the transport system (118) also comprises at least one transport device (134) for driving the transport segments (124).

The invention relates to a handling module for loading a transport device of a conveyor dishwasher. The handling module comprises a turning wheel for turning a dishware item, a supply ramp and a feed ramp for transferring the dishware item from the turning wheel to a transport device of the conveyor dishwasher, wherein the feed ramp has at least one waste disposal opening, wherein the turning wheel is designed to receive the dishware item supplied via the supply ramp in an orientation with a use side facing upwards, wherein the turning wheel is also designed to turn the dishware item and to place same on the feed ramp with the use side facing downwards, wherein, when placing the dishware item on the use side, waste on the dishware item can be disposed of via the waste disposal opening due to gravity. The system having a frame with a mounting point for each of the modular swing arms and the swing arm pivots about a pivoting element freely motivated by a swing arm actuator and controlled with a swing arm limiter coupled to one or more controllers. The modular swing arm is positioned by the one or more controllers by activating the swing arm actuator to position and to engage a dirty pan from the flow of pans at a pressure range exerted by the actuator and limited by the swing arm limiter such that the pan is cleaned. On one of the modular swing arms, a cleaning module mounting a staggered set of two or more brush heads is provided in offset rows provides overlap during cleaning to overcome compression issues in the brush heads during movement of the pan. Each of the brush heads also having bristles specifically spaced and angled so that they provide consistent contact without laying over one another when compression does occur. Each of the brush heads also rotating so that the rotational moments of each of the brush heads in the two or more brush heads is offset by the equal or paired rotating brush heads. The motor assembly is mechanically coupled to the sanitizing cogwheel and thereby rotates the sanitizing cogwheel to guide straws along the straw retaining track, through a sanitizing solution in the sanitizing region, and out of the sanitizing region.
