VAPOR THERAPY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A vapor delivery system is provided that may include any of a number of features. One feature of the vapor delivery system is that it can apply condensable vapor energy to tissue, such as a prostrate, to shrink, damage, or denature the prostate. In some embodiments, the vapor delivery system can include safety features including prostate capsule detection, needle tracking, and treatment tracking. Methods for safe and effective treatment of prostate tissues are presented.
ENDOSCOPE WITH REUSABLE OPTICAL AND ELECTRICAL DISTAL ASSEMBLY
An endoscope that includes an elongated bougie, a distal tip at a distal end of the bougie and a handle at a proximal end of the bougie. The distal tip has a camera, an LED light, and a distal tip housing forming a distal tip chamber. The endoscope also has an electronic connector, such as a PCB board connector, having at least one PCB board, and at least a portion of the PCB board is nestled within the distal tip chamber. The PCB board connector is disposed between the distal tip and the distal end of the elongated bougie when being assembled. The distal tip and the PCB board connector are attached into one integral distal assembly by removable attaching means, such as a pair of snap fit hood and holder. The integral distal end assembly is configured to be cut from the old bougie used in a medical procedure and to be collected and later disassembled, sterilized, and reassembled with another new bougie.
Hollow probe with sleeve
A hollow probe enabling insertion and accommodation of endoscopic and other instruments advancing within a lumen includes a central valve unit featuring a central bore and at least one valve for controlling the introduction and withdrawal of fluid into the central bore. A sliding tubular sheath is movably disposed inside the central valve unit. An impermeable flexible sleeve is sealingly anchored to the central valve unit and folds over to cover both the inside and outside of the sheath to sealingly envelop the sheath and contain the fluid, together with the valve unit, while allowing sliding of the sleeve-covered-sheath. An endoscope adapter is mountable to the proximal end of the sleeve-covered-sheath, for allowing insertion of the endoscope through the adapter into the sleeve-covered-sheath, includes at least one gasket for sealing at least one gap between the endoscope and the sleeve-covered-sheath for withholding fluids from escaping.
METHOD FOR FIXING CABLES FOR ACTUATING THE DISTAL HEAD OF A MEDICAL DEVICE
A method for fixing one end of an actuation cable configured to allow orienting of the distal head of a medical device including providing a pivoting part provided with at least one fixing pin made of thermoplastic material for fixing a proximal end of an actuation cable, arranging, from the terminal part of the pin, a radially through recess to allow the insertion of the actuation cable, positioning the actuation cable inside the recess, letting a free end of the pin project, and heating at least the free end of the pin and applying a pressure on the pin to ensure, by welding, the fixing of the actuation cable with the pivoting part.
Handle with a mechanism for controlling the bending of the head of a medical endoscope
The disclosure relates to a handle for a medical endoscope including a casing having two opposite main faces and provided with a mechanism for controlling the bending of a distal head of the medical endoscope, this control mechanism including at least one member for actuating a pivoting part made in the form of an actuation ring having an axial ferrule having a cylindrical outer surface cooperating with an annular bearing to be guided in rotation by this annular bearing, along a transverse axis of rotation and whose rotation causes the bending of the distal head, the axial ferrule having an internal bore partly delimiting a cylindrical opening which passes right through the casing by opening out through internal bores on the two opposite main faces of the casing, the pivoting part and the annular bearing being arranged to be located outside the cylindrical opening.

A distal end of the shaft includes a tab, and the tab is movable based on movement of the actuation device. The end cap includes a modular camera assembly. The modular camera assembly includes a camera, a support, an arm, and a cavity. The tab is coupleable to the modular camera assembly via the cavity, and movement of the tab controls a position of the support and the camera.

A keypad includes a support, a snap disk on a first side of the support transformable from a released state to a loaded state, a cover forming a seal over the first side, a pocket in the cover, a magnet and a plunger disposed in the pocket, the plunger adapted to engage and transform the snap disk to the loaded state, a magnetic field sensor on a second side of the support, the second side opposite the first side and logic circuitry adapted to obtain a value of a strength of a magnetic field from the sensor, compare the value against a predetermined threshold value that corresponds at least approximately to the strength of a magnetic field, and when the plunger has transformed the snap disk to the loaded state and the value reaches or exceeds the threshold value, output a signal indicating that a key press occurred.

In addition, the exterior cross-sectional shape of the body conforms to a space defined within a hand in a relaxed grip position.
