Otoscope providing low obstruction electronic display
An otoscope provides a circular display allowing a compact housing providing improved simultaneous viewing of the display and the patient's ear for improved positioning and stabilization of the otoscope. A recorded image may be rotationally corrected, and non-image data displayed on the screen may be rotationally corrected with the use of an inclinometer.
Distal head for an endoscope, said distal head being provided with an enlarged working channel
The disclosure relates to a distal endoscope head including a support for a vision system, the support being delimited on one side, by a proximal face and, on the opposite side, by a distal face into which the vision system opens out, the support being traversed by at least one hole of an operating channel opening out into the distal face by an ovoid section which decreases from the distal face of the support in the direction of the proximal face of the support.
Methods and apparatus for removing material from within a mammalian cavity using an insertable endoscopic instrument
An endoscope for removing tissue at a surgical site includes an elongated tubular body insertable within a mammalian cavity of a patient. An instrument channel extends between a first opening at a distal end and a second opening at a proximal end of the tubular body and is sized and configured to receive a surgical cutting assembly that includes an aspiration channel configured to remove material entering the endoscope via a distal end of the surgical cutting assembly. A torque generation component configured to generate torque is positioned within the distal end and configured to provide the generated torque to a coupling component. The coupling component is positioned at the distal end of the elongated tubular member and configured to actuate a cutting component of the surgical cutting assembly responsive to actuation of the torque generation component.
Multi-shield spinal access system
An access device for accessing an intervertebral disc having an outer shield comprising an access shield with a larger diameter (˜16-30 mm) that reaches from the skin down to the facet line, with an inner shield having a second smaller diameter (˜5-12 mm) extending past the access shield and reaches down to the disc level. This combines the benefits of the direct visual microsurgical/mini open approaches and the percutaneous, “ultra-MIS” techniques.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMAGE GUIDED POST-NASAL NERVE ABLATION
Devices and methods for treating rhinitis are provided. An integrated therapy and imaging device is provided for single handheld use. The device may have a hollow elongated cannula, a therapeutic element coupled to a distal portion of the cannula, an imaging assembly coupled to the cannula to provide visualization of the therapeutic element, and an articulating region operably coupled to the imaging assembly to articulate the imaging assembly. The imaging assembly may be articulated so as to translate vertically, laterally, axially, and/or rotationally.
Apparatus and method for four dimensional soft tissue navigation in endoscopic applications
A surgical instrument navigation system is provided that visually simulates a virtual volumetric scene of a body cavity of a patient from a point of view of a surgical instrument residing in the cavity of the patient. The surgical instrument navigation system includes: a surgical instrument; an imaging device which is operable to capture scan data representative of an internal region of interest within a given patient; a tracking subsystem that employs electro-magnetic sensing to capture in real-time position data indicative of the position of the surgical instrument; a data processor which is operable to render a volumetric, perspective image of the internal region of interest from a point of view of the surgical instrument; and a display which is operable to display the volumetric perspective image of the patient.
MEDICAL DEVICE
A medical device includes an outer tube, an operation portion at least partially located in the outer tube and a control portion having a channel communicated with the outer tube along the first direction. The second end of the control portion is coupled with the first end of the outer tube, so that the channel and the outer tube are communicated with each other along the first direction. The control portion includes a control module including a suction control unit having a stopping unit and configured to move along a second direction which is different form the first direction, a suction port actuator located at a side opposite to the suction control unit with the channel therebetween and a switching unit configured to switch the work status of the operation portion. The suction port actuator is configured to be activated by the suction control unit.
Endoscopic needle assembly
A needle and suture assembly is provided for use with an endoscopic suturing device with a needle holder arm. The needle assembly includes a needle tip and a needle body. The needle tip has a sharp end, a capture groove, a tab groove and a plug portion positioned between the capture groove and the tab groove. The needle body has first and second ends, tip tabs, retainers for removably retaining the needle body relative to the needle holder arm, and a suture opening. The needle tip is fixed relative to the needle body by plastic deformation of the tip tabs into the tab groove. A suture extends into the suture opening of the needle body and is fixed therein.
FRONT-END STRUCTURE FOR INSERTION PART OF ENDOSCOPE
The present invention relates to the field of medical endoscope, it discloses front-end structure for insertion part of endoscope, which consists of a probe shell a camera, a module arranged on the end surface of the probe shell to observe images of surrounding tissues; an operation hole arranged on the end surface of the probe shell and on the side of the camera module to fix the operation mechanism; the camera module consists of a lens unit and lighting units arranged on both sides of the lens unit, an arc transition surface is arranged on one side of the end surface of the probe shell to guide the probe to be inserted into the targeted tissue. The beneficial effects of the present invention are: a cut angle is arranged on the end surface of one end of the probe shell, when the probe is inserted into the human body, the inclined arc transition surface can reduce the resistance from the human body tissues, so that the probe can be inserted into the human body deeply in an easier manner; by arranging the probe shell and sealing the lighting units with sealant, the probe shell plays a role of positioning and protecting the ends of the lighting units.
