ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM, CONTROL DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD OF CONTROL DEVICE
An endoscope system includes a light source that emits illumination light, an image sensor that captures an image of an object toward which the illumination light is emitted, and a processor. The processor is configured to determine whether a fluid is present in the object. If the fluid is not present in the object, the processor switches to a first observation mode in which to illuminate the object by first illumination light. If the fluid is present in the object, the processor switches to a second observation mode in which to illuminate the object by second illumination light. The second illumination light includes is larger than the first illumination light in a relative ratio of long wavelength components.
Dental bridge fitting system
The dental bridge fitting system is a medical device. The dental bridge fitting system is configured for use in measuring the oral surface contours of a patient. The measurements taken by the dental bridge fitting system allow for the fabrication of a dental prosthetic device, such as a bridge, that fits flush on the oral surface that was measured by the dental bridge fitting system. The dental bridge fitting system comprises a mouthpiece, a plurality of capture devices, an image processor, and a master processor. The mouthpiece contains the plurality of capture devices. The plurality of capture devices, the image processor, and the master processor are electrically interconnected.
Medical image processing apparatus and medical observation system
A medical image processing apparatus includes an image processor configured to: receive a plurality of first image data captured at different times and generated by illumination of light in a first wavelength band in sequence; receive a plurality of second image data captured at different times and generated by illumination of light in a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band in sequence; generate first and second images based on the received first and second image data, respectively; and output the generated first image and second image to a display in chronological order of the first and second images and in accordance with a preset display pattern of the first and second images.
Surgical vision augmentation system
A surgical vision system for imaging heat capacity and cooling rate of tissue has an infrared source configured to provide infrared light to tissue, the infrared light sufficient to heat tissue, and an infrared camera configured to provide images of tissue at infrared wavelengths. The system also has an image processing system configured to determine, from the infrared images of tissue, a cooling or heating rate at pixels of the images of tissue at infrared wavelengths and to display images derived from the cooling rate at the pixels.
AUGMENTED VISUALIZATION FOR A SURGICAL ROBOT USING A CAPTURED VISIBLE IMAGE COMBINED WITH A FLUORESCENCE IMAGE AND A CAPTURED VISIBLE IMAGE
An endoscope with an optical channel is held and positioned by a robotic surgical system. A capture unit captures (1) a visible first image at a first time and (2) a visible second image combined with a fluorescence image at a second time. An image processing system receives (1) the visible first image and (2) the visible second image combined with the fluorescence image and generates at least one fluorescence image. A display system outputs an output image including an artificial fluorescence image.
ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS AND LIGHT SOURCE APPARATUS
An endoscope apparatus includes: an endoscope connector; a first optical connector extended from a plug section; first insertion openings of a receptacle section into which the first optical connector is inserted; second insertion openings of the receptacle section into which a second optical connector is inserted; a wrong insertion preventing member that is partially located in the second insertion openings, and is moved, in conjunction with insertion of the first optical connector into the first insertion openings, to a retracted position at which the second optical connector is insertable into the second insertion openings; and a contact member that comes into contact with the wrong insertion preventing member when the first optical connector is inserted into the second insertion openings.
YCBCR PULSED ILLUMINATION SCHEME IN A LIGHT DEFICIENT ENVIRONMENT
The disclosure extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for producing an image in light deficient environments with luminance and chrominance emitted from a controlled light source.
THORACIC IMAGING, DISTANCE MEASURING, SURGICAL AWARENESS, AND NOTIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method for enhanced surgical navigation, and a system performing the method and displaying graphical user interfaces associated with the method. A 3D spatial map of a surgical site is generated using a 3D endoscope including a camera source and an IR scan source. The method includes detecting a needle tip protruding from an anatomy and determining a needle protrusion distance corresponding to a distance between the needle tip and a surface of the anatomy using the 3D spatial map. A position of a surgical tool in the 3D spatial map is detected and a determination is made by the system indicative of whether the needle protrusion distance is sufficient for grasping by the surgical tool. A warning is generated when it is determined that the needle protrusion distance is not sufficient for grasping by the surgical tool.
MEDICAL OBSERVATION SYSTEM, MEDICAL IMAGING DEVICE AND IMAGING METHOD
A medical observation system includes: a light source configured to emit, to body tissue, at least one of first narrow band light and second narrow band light; an imaging element that includes: a pixel portion including plural pixels arranged in a two-dimensional matrix; and a color filter including red filters, green filters, and blue filters that are provided on light receiving surfaces of the plural pixels, each of the light receiving surfaces including any one filter of the red, green, and blue filters on each of the light receiving surfaces; and a cut filter that is provided on a light receiving surface side of at least the pixels provided with the green filters, the cut filter being configured to shield light of a shorter wavelength band including the wavelength band of the second narrow band light, and transmit therethrough the first narrow band light.
MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, MEDICAL IMAGING DEVICE, MEDICAL OBSERVATION SYSTEM, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
A medical image processing device includes a processor configured to: obtain image data; generate, based on the obtained image data, a captured image including color component signals including a red component signal representing a red component, a green component signal representing a green component, and a blue component signal representing a blue component; calculate an intensity ratio between a fluorescent component signal and a reflected light component signal in a pixel of the captured image; determine, based on the calculated intensity ratio in the pixel of the captured image, a fluorescence region and a background region in the captured image; and generate a fluorescence image by performing, based on a result of the determination, image processing with parameters different from each other for color component signals in pixels positioned in the fluorescence region and color component signals in pixels positioned in the background region.
