DEVICES AND METHODS FOR AIDING CONCEPTION
A conception aid for assisting in natural conception may include a platform configured for placement in a vaginal canal, wherein the platform comprises one or more capturing elements configured to collect semen. A method of aiding conception may include providing a conception aid device including one or more capturing elements, collecting semen with the one or more capturing elements wherein the one or more capturing elements is configured to contain the collected semen on the device, and positioning the device in a vaginal canal.
BODILY FLUIDS SPECIMEN COLLECTION DEVICE
The invention is a bodily fluids sample collection device comprising a planar elastic elongated frame member and has frame sides concurrently angling inward to a cup securing region, thereby having an increasingly narrowing frame width to a semi-circular cup holding portion, adapted to securely receive a bodily fluids sample cup disposed in an upright position for receiving a bodily fluids sample from a patient, and flexibly adapted for easy placement and release of the bodily fluids sample cup. The toilet bowl or the toilet seat freely supports the device, and handles enables the patient to grasp the device without touching the toilet seat or the toilet bowl, and away from the sample cup of differing sizes. The device may have a collection handle, enabling the patient to grasp the device away from the bodily fluids sample cup.
DEVICE FOR COLLECTING TEST SPECIMEN
The present invention provides a device for collecting a fluid specimen. The device comprises a water-absorbing end part formed by bonding a first porous water-absorbing film and a second porous water-absorbing film. Preferably, the second porous water-absorbing film and the first porous water-absorbing film are sponge films.
Devices and methods for semen analysis
Provided herein are devices and methods for analysis of male fertility. The invention provides self-contained, hand-held receptacles and systems for collection and analysis of semen samples and methods of using such devices to analyze semen samples. Also provided are processor-implemented and machine learning methods of analyzing semen sample data obtained using devices of the invention.
SYSTEM FOR ASSISTING CONCEPTION
A system (400) for assisted conception. In a loading configuration the system (400) comprises: an implant (460); an elongate curved housing (410) enclosing the implant (460); a release mechanism (420a) attached at a proximal end (410a) of the housing (410) and arranged to be operable by a user to deploy the implant (460) from the housing (410); a translation mechanism (430) within the housing (410) arranged to translate a deployment operation of the release mechanism (420a) to movement of the implant (460) out of the housing (410); and a removable funnel (450) attached at a distal end (410b) of the housing (410) and arranged to deliver semen to the implant (460).
APPARATUS FOR COLLECTION OF FLUID SAMPLES
The present invention relates in general to the improved containment of biological fluids. In particular, a method and apparatus for collection and preservation of fluid samples in accordance with the present invention results in collection of semen having improved viability both at the time of collection and after storage. The disclosed apparatus support a wide variety of applications for containment of biological fluids related to human and veterinary medicine including, but not limited to, human reproductive medicine and animal husbandry.
BODY FLUID OBSERVATION DEVICE
The present invention relates to a body fluid observation device which enables observation of a user's body fluid. A body fluid observation device according to an example of the present invention comprises: a chamber which has a length in a first horizontal direction and in which a body fluid of a user is stably placed; and a body into which the chamber is inserted for observation of the body fluid. The body comprises: a case including a chamber insertion hole which is formed through the front surface of the body and into which the chamber is inserted, a guide partition wall extending from the chamber insertion hole in the first horizontal direction to guide the chamber, and an observation hole provided through the bottom surface of the body to allow observation of the body fluid; a light source part which is positioned above the chamber in the case and emits light; and an operation part electrically connected to the light source part to operate the light source part, wherein, as the chamber is inserted into the chamber insertion hole, the operation part can form an electrically closed loop for operating the light source part.
Fertility kits with syringes and collection jars, and method of use
A fertility kit for performing self-insemination, comprising a package with three sets of sterilized disposable syringes and collection jars. Each fertility syringe comprises: an outer rigid tubular barrel and an inner plunger. The barrel comprises a curved distal end with a small circular distal opening, and a sealed proximal end, and an inner hollow tube housing the plunger. The barrel's proximal end also comprises two opposing circular members to fit a user's fingers; and a plunger flat end fitting in-between. The plunger distal end has a has a funnel-like shape that fits into the barrel curved end to push all the semen out while preventing a backflow. The collection jar comprises a sealable lid, and an inner surface comprising smooth seamless edges. Fresh or frozen, unwashed semen is deposited into the jar, pulled into the syringe, and administered cervically during a user's maximum monthly level of luteinizing hormone.
Semen storage container
A semen storage container which can store semen in a favorable state, into which semen is easily put and out of which semen is easily taken, is provided. A semen storage container includes an outer case having an open upper end, an inner case, the inner case having an opening portion at an upper end and being provided on an inner side of the outer case to close an opening of the outer case, and a removable lid laid over an upper end portion of the outer case to close the opening portion. The inner case includes a semen guide which communicates with the opening portion at the upper end and has an inner circumferential surface provided as an inclined surface which spreads upward and a cylindrical semen pool which communicates with an opening portion at a lower end of the semen guide and includes a tapered bottom portion.
Optical Coherence Tomography Based Sperm Detection Method and Devices and Systems for Performing the Same
Aspects of the methods include volumetrically imaging testicular tissue by optical coherence tomography to identify a testicular tissue location that is likely to contain sperm; and m-mode scanning using optical coherence tomography the identified testicular location to determine whether sperm are at least likely to be present at the location. Methods may further include harvesting sperm from the location, e.g., for use in in vitro fertilization. Also provided are devices and systems for practicing the methods.
