Connector assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. A modular connector has a first end that clamps to a first rod in an existing construct and a second end having a modular connection point configured to connect a second rod in a new construct such that the new construct can be extended from the existing construct.

Spinal implant system and method

A spinal construct comprises at least one member that defines a first implant cavity and a second implant cavity oriented transverse to the first implant cavity. The at least one member has a surface that includes a lock disposed with the first implant cavity. Systems, implants, surgical instruments and methods of use are disclosed.

Facet joint replacement device and methods of use

A facet joint replacement system includes a facet joint replacement device including an enclosing body and an articulating body. The enclosing body includes an interior surface defining an inner cavity of the enclosing body. The interior surface includes a first articulating surface and a projection extending inwardly relative to a surrounding area of the interior surface. The articulating body is positioned within the inner cavity of the enclosing body and is configured to move within the enclosing body. The articulating body includes a second articulating surface and a recess extending inwardly relative to a surrounding area of the articulating body and aligned with the projection of the interior surface of the enclosing body so as to allow movement of the projection along the recess of the enclosing body while constraining rotational motion of the articulating body within the enclosing body.

NON-INTRUSIVE BONE ANCHOR FOR USE ON VERTEBRAL LAMINAR PROCESSES
20230073858 · 2023-03-09 ·

A non-intrusive bone anchor for attachment to vertebral laminar processes with a main body which has a lower fixed jaw; a connecting portion to said lower fixed jaw, a bore hole providing basis for an axis from one side of said connecting portion to the other, and a threaded two ring clamp where each ring has an inner threaded surface with a threaded axis; An externally threaded shaft with a first and second end, where said first end has an internal torquing indent and a portion adjacent thereto for a locking mechanism to engage the outer portion of the clamping ring and said first end has a fixation protuberance. An upper jaw that cooperates with said externally threaded shaft and engages bone between said upper jaw and said lower fizzed jaw forming a diagonal across a clamped bone body; and an inter-anchor connector comprising an axis with a first connector end and a second connector end where said first connector end has a rod portion and said second end has a tulip rod fixer portion.

Connector assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. A connector has a first end that clamps to a first rod in an existing construct and a second end, connected to the first end, that clamps to a second rod in a new construct such that the new construct can be extended from the existing construct at an adjacent level as the existing construct.

MODULAR SPINE STABILIZATION SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED INSTRUMENTS

An implantable, modular spine stabilization system that allows for multi-level treatment of the spine by providing either rigid fixation or dynamic stabilization at different levels to be treated is provided. This modular spine stabilization system may be configured to span multiple spine levels, and have a curvature that closely matches the curvature of the spine over those multiple levels to be treated. Further, the modular spine stabilization system allows adjustment of the curvature of the overall system such that the system may be adapted for a patient for a customized fit. Instruments are also provided for the assembly and/or implantation of the modular spine stabilization system. The associated instruments may include instruments for adjusting the curvature of the system to the patient, and for implanting the curved system into the patient. The instruments may be configured for implantation of the system in a minimally invasive surgery.

Non-invasive adjustable distraction system
09848914 · 2017-12-26 ·

A spinal distraction system includes a distraction rod having a first end and a second end, the first end being configured for affixation to a subject's spine at a first location, the distraction rod having a second end containing a recess having a threaded portion disposed therein. The system further includes an adjustable portion configured for affixation relative to the subject's spine at a second location remote from the first location, the adjustable portion comprising a housing containing a magnetic assembly, the magnetic assembly affixed at one end thereof to a lead screw, the lead screw operatively coupled to the threaded portion. A locking pin may secure the lead screw to the magnetic assembly. An o-ring gland disposed on the end of the housing may form a dynamic seal with the distraction rod.

Rod coupling systems and devices and methods of making and using the same

Provided are rod coupler devices, systems, kits and methods, which include at least one saddle having a concave configuration that either abuts a bone fastener and/or a locking cap and is shaped so as to contact the rod in two or more lines of contact, which reduces pressure on the rod, and therefore permits use of a rod having various materials, such as PEEK, without significant deformation of the rod. Also provided is the saddle itself and integrated locking caps that include a saddle, the locking cap and a set screw. Also provided are elongate rods having advantageous shapes, configurations, and/or compositions for rod coupler devices, systems and methods. Further provided are screw and cap devices and systems that themselves include a concave configuration so as to contact a rod in two or more lines of contact, which reduces pressure on the rod.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE SPINAL FIXATION SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS

This application describes surgical instruments and implants for building a posterior fixation construct across one or more segments of the spinal column. Extension guides are provided that attach to bone anchors implanted within the spine. The extension guides have a guide channel that align with a rod channel in the anchor to help direct the rod to the anchor. Instruments are provided to aid in insertion and positioning or the rod.

EXTERNAL ADJUSTMENT DEVICE
20230181221 · 2023-06-15 ·

An external adjustment device for non-invasively adjusting an adjustable implant, the external adjustment device including a controller in communication with an actuator associated with the implant and a sensor configured to receive information from or about the implant. The external adjustment device may include a power source and a display. The external adjustment device may include a magnetic element configured to generate a rotating magnetic field; and a driver configured to drive the magnetic element to generate the rotating magnetic field and configured to rotate a permanent magnet of an implant. Upon placing the external adjustment device in proximity to the implant, the magnetic element is configured to magnetically couple with the permanent magnet. The external adjustment device may be configured to non-invasively determine one or more of a magnetic coupling state and a stalled state of the magnetic element and the permanent magnet disposed within the implant.
