Fixing bone plate
Disclosed is a fixing bone plate, which comprises a plate body. The plate body is provided with a plate main part and a locking portion passing through the plate body. The plate main part is connected to the locking portion at the corresponding two ends of the plate body. The fixing bone plate also comprises an attachment portion. The attachment portion is provided with a bone attachment surface. The attachment portion is disposed on the other side of the locking portion. The plate body can be manufactured by using a metal laser additive manufacturing technique or a 3D metal printing technique. The fixing bone plate can be accurately positioned and stably combined with a human bone according to morphological characteristics of bones.
Patient-specific fixation plate with spacing elements
According to an aspect, a spacing element for spacing a fixation plate away from a bone to which the fixation plate is secured is provided. The spacing element has a body with a bone interface side and a plate interface side and sidewalls extending thereinbetween, said bone interface side having a bone contacting surface having contours conforming to surface contours of the bone. A corresponding fixation plate, fixation plate kit, and method for designing a patient-specific spacing element are also provided.
COMPRESSION DEVICE, BONE PLATE, BONE PLATE ASSEMBLY, KIT, AND METHOD
A compression device made of a superelastic material having a peripheral portion with an upper surface, a lower surface, and a central opening extending therethrough is provided. Tips of one or more resilient structures of the compression device project inward of the peripheral portion and form an opening. The one or more resilient structures are configured to exert a biasing force in a direction when deformed in an opposite direction. Also provided is a bone plate assembly comprising a captively retained compression device and a bone plate comprising one or more integrally formed resilient structures.
Systems and Methods for Bone Stabilization and Fixation
Systems for the minimally invasive repair, stabilization and/or fixation of a fractured bone, such as a rib, are disclosed. The systems include one or more rods/support members that are designed to extend along a dimension of a bone being repaired and secure the fractured bone. The support members can be photodynamic and are formed using an expandable member that is filled with a light-sensitive liquid that is cured to form the rigid support member. Two or more clamps are used to secure the support member(s) to the rib or other bone. Minimally invasive surgical methods for securing the systems to a fractured bone are also disclosed.
Hybrid Bone Plates and Related Systems and Methods
A bone plate includes a main body defining one or more openings and a cavity. A support member formed of a different material than the material of the main body is disposed in the cavity and defines one or more openings, each of which is coaxial with an opening of the main body. The support member extends into circumferential recesses defined by the main body. Circumferential projections bounding each main body opening are disposed between circumferential projections of the main body and are disposed entirely within the support member. Bone plate systems, methods of treatment, and methods of manufacturing are also described.
Hybrid bone plate
A bone fixation plate comprises a main body formed of a first material and a support member formed of a second, different material and attached to the main body. The main body defines a first set of openings and the support member defines a second set of openings aligned with the first set of openings. For each opening of the first set of openings, a main body circumferential surface is disposed adjacent and continuous with a support member circumferential surface of the second set of openings to define an opening circumferential surface that bounds an opening of the first set of openings and an opening of the second set of openings.
Device for coaptation of bone fragments and methods for producing such a device
A device for coaptation of bone parts or bone fragments, comprising an integral plate obtained by moulding whereof one portion (1) is made from a first biocompatible polymer comprising at least one or, preferably, a plurality of areas or inserts (2) provided with a through hole (3), said areas or inserts being made from a second biocompatible polymer which is more malleable than the first polymer, said areas or inserts having mechanical properties allowing a self-tapping of the inner surface of the holes, by means of screws that can be used for securing said plate to bone tissue, said support portion and said areas or inserts having a partial molecular bond between them.
Bone plate for attaching to an anatomic structure
A plate for attaching to an anatomic structure with fasteners. A body defines openings for receiving the fasteners, and includes a bottom surface that is concave. The plate includes bone pad surface, and a spike extends away from the bone pad surface. The bone pad surface is oriented at an angle relative to the bottom surface to prevent further penetration of the spike into the anatomic structure beyond a predetermined depth. The bone pad surface may be oriented at an obtuse angle relative to the bottom surface. The bone pad surfaces may be planar or concave, or contoured to a corresponding profile of the anatomic structure. The spikes may be pyramidal or conical. At least one side of the spike may be integral and continuous with the bottom surface. The side may have a radius of curvature equal to that of the bottom surface.
LOCKING FASTENER FOR USE WITH DYNAMIC BONE FRACTURE PLATES
A fastener for use with a bone plate having a spring loaded fastener locking clip includes a cylindrical head portion having an outer periphery and defining a longitudinal axis, a threaded body portion configured for insertion through a fastener receiving aperture of the bone plate, an annular shoulder formed between the cylindrical head portion and the threaded body portion, the annular shoulder having an outer periphery, and at least one anti-rotation flange extending between the outer periphery of the cylindrical head portion and the outer periphery of the annular shoulder.
Bone Plate For Attaching To An Anatomic Structure
A plate for attaching to an anatomic structure with fasteners. The plate has a body with a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface. The body defines one or more openings to receive a respective one of the one or more fasteners. The bottom surface is concave to define a space to accommodate a portion of the anatomic structure. A bone pad surface extends from the bottom surface. A spike extends away from the bone pad surface. An extension arm can be coupled to the plate and the extension arm can support a tracking head to implement a surgical tracking assembly.
