A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING OSTEOTOMY OF THE PELVIC
A surgical implant system includes a surgical implant and at least one fixation device. The surgical implant includes a first side member, a second side member, a distal member and a proximal member. The first side member is disposed in opposed relation relative to the second side member, the first and second side members including distal and proximal ends. The distal member is disposed in opposed, spaced relation relative to the proximal member. The distal member extends across one end of the surgical implant between the first and second side member connecting distal ends of the first and second side members. The proximal member extends across a second end of the surgical implant connecting the proximal ends of the first and second side members. The fixation device is inserted in and advanced through osseous tissue and traverses the openings of the first and second side members.
Hip Joint Device
A medical device for treating hip joint osteoarthritis in a human patient by providing at least one artificial hip joint surface. The medical device comprises a prosthetic part or a bone plug adapted to be placed in a hole in the pelvic bone and a supporting member connected to said prosthetic part or bone plug, wherein the prosthetic part or the bone plug is adapted to be inserted into said hole from the abdominal side of the acetabulum and oriented, during the insertion, such that the concave interior surface is facing in the direction towards the caput femur. Wherein the medical device comprises an artificial caput femur surface or artificial acetabulum surface, and wherein a largest cross-sectional distance of said artificial caput femur or acetabulum surface is smaller than said hole, such that said artificial caput femur surface can pass through said hole.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR ORTHOPEDICS
A surgical planning and evaluation method may include receiving an image of a patient's anatomy before a surgery and generating a surgical plan for performing the surgery. The surgical plan may include a planned surgical result. The method may include receiving an image of the patient's anatomy after surgery. The image may include data representing the achieved surgical result. The method may include digitally comparing the planned surgical result with the achieved surgical result and generating a quantification the surgical result based on the digital comparison.
SACRO-ILIAC JOINT STABILIZING IMPLANTS AND METHODS OF IMPLANTATION
Sacro-iliac joint stabilizing implants adapted for implanting across a SI joint from a dorsal approach. Methods of, and delivery tools adapted for implanting sacro-iliac joint stabilizing implants across a SI joint from a dorsal approach.
Implant and method for posterior sacroiliac fusion
An implant and method for posterior sacroiliac fusion having a plate for placement across the posterior surface of the sacroiliac joint, a transverse pin to slide through the plate and transverse the joint as well as provide an aperture to receive bone graft, and a sacral screw to be inserted through the plate.
Bone screw and method of using same
A bone screw and method of using the same for immobilizing a joint, the bone screw including a screw head, an elongate shaft having a threaded outer wall and a helically-shaped slot extending through the outer wall and longitudinally along the shaft. The slot extends longitudinally along a middle section of the threaded outer wall, terminating short of the proximal and distal ends of the shaft, or the slot extends through the distal end and/or to the proximal end of the shaft immediately adjacent to the screw head. The slot includes a cutting edge that is arranged to engage bone when the screw advances therethrough for cutting away a portion of the bone. A reservoir is located within the elongate shaft for collecting bone that is cut away or removed by the cutting edge.
Expandable penile prosthesis
An embodiment includes a penile prosthetic comprising: an expandable conduit; a pump; a reservoir; a first conduit that couples the expandable conduit to the pump; a second conduit that couples the reservoir to the pump; and a plate that couples to the expandable conduit, wherein the plate includes a concave surface. Other embodiments are described herein.
Femur plate
A femur plate is provided, the femur plate comprising a first end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a trochanter region of the femur and a second end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a condyle region of the femur, wherein the second end portion comprises at least one first opening configured to receive a bone fastener. The femur plate further comprises an elongate shaft extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, the elongate shaft comprising at least one second opening configured to receive a bone fastener. Furthermore, a periprosthetic implant system comprising the femur plate and a method of implanting the femur plate are provided.

Bone-stabilizing device having a pivotable buttress member
Devices and methods for stabilizing bone. An exemplary device may comprise a plate, an arm, and a buttress member. The plate may define one or more apertures configured to receive one or more fasteners that secure the plate onto a first bone region. The arm may project from an edge of the plate. The buttress member may be connected pivotably to an end of the arm. The buttress member may be configured to be pivoted by contact with a second bone region to conform an orientation of the buttress member to the second bone region, and may apply compression to, and/or support, the second bone region.
