IMPLANT FOR CLOSING AN OPENING IN TISSUE

An implant 801 for closing an opening in tissue such as a fistula or a sinus comprises a coil having a substantially uniform outer diameter. The coil forms an internal passage having a diameter that tapers from a distal end to a proximal end. The implant 801 may be delivered using a non-tapered driver coil 820.

Percutaneous catheter directed intravascular occlusion devices with retractable stabilizing wires

A medical device is provided in which one or both ends of the device encourage the formation of tissue across substantially the entire area of the respective end that is exposed to the blood flow for reducing the risk of a thrombotic embolism. The medical device further includes stabilizing wires configured to engage tissue at a target site when the medical device is in an expanded configuration and to at least partially retract into the medical device when the medical device is in a collapsed configuration.

RETRIEVAL WIRE CENTERING DEVICE

An occlusive implant system may include a catheter having a lumen extending therethrough, a core wire slidably and rotatably disposed within the lumen, the core wire having a threaded member disposed at a distal end, and a medical implant having an expandable frame, an occlusive element disposed on the frame, and a threaded insert coupled to a proximal portion of the frame, wherein the threaded member is removably coupled to the threaded insert.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR OCCLUSION OF AN ATRIAL APPENDAGE

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, methods, and systems as relating to occlusion. In certain instances, the apparatuses, methods, and systems may include a device for placement in vessels, appendages, and openings in a body. The device may include a unitary frame having a face portion that includes a center frame portion a plurality of elongate members.

ECM strip to plug percutaneous heart valve leaks

Described are devices and methods for medically sealing a perivalvular leak associated with implanted valves. For example, a bioresorbable tissue infiltratable sheet is provided for insertion through a perivalvular leak. A filament extending through the sheet is also provided which when pulled causes the sheet to gather around the filament on either side of the perivalvular leak. The gathered position of the sheet may be secured by a series of stops and/or use of a capping member.

Sealing device and delivery system

A medical device for sealing a defect in a body includes a wire frame that includes a plurality of wires that form a first occluding member and a second occluding member. In some embodiments, a sealing member is in contact with the wire frame. In some embodiments, the sealing member is configured to define one or more openings in the sealing member.

Left atrial appendage plugging device and delivery system

A left atrial appendage occlusion device and a delivery system are provided, wherein the left atrial appendage occlusion device includes a stent and an occluder. Firstly, the stent is implanted and fixed at the entrance of the left atrial appendage; then, a double-disc occluder is released on the stent to occlude the left atrial appendage. The left atrial appendage occlusion device includes a self-expandable nitinol stent, which is firmly fixed at the entrance of the left atrial appendage via a two-way anchoring thorn, and then an occluder is released on the stent. The left atrial appendage occlusion device is delivered to the left atrial appendage by the delivery system. Compared with the prior art, the delivery system improves the releasing accuracy and the implanting stability of the occluder. After being released, both the stent and the occluder can be withdrawn into a catheter to be relocated or replaced.

An elongate resilient tube of a mesh of shape memory alloy is used to therapeutically occlude an opening in body tissue. The tube is compressible so that it can be delivered to the opening in the body within a catheter. The tube self-expands as it is released from the catheter to contiguously form, sequentially an outer perimeter structure and an inner perimeter structure disposed within the outer perimeter structure to conformingly engage an inner side of the outer perimeter structure, a plate shaped structure, and a flexible connector between them. J-shaped hooks extend from the perimeter structure to flexibly engage tissue of the body opening without piercing the tissue.
