Skin Tear Kit, Instructional Labeling System, and Methods Therefor
A medical kit (100) includes a package (105) having a housing (501) and a lid (103). One or more medical implements (1001,1101,1201,1301) for treating a skin tear wound are arranged in a stacked configuration within the package. An instructional labeling system (106) is coupled to the lid. The instructional labeling system can include an identification (107) of a skin tear type the one or more medical implements are designed to treat, a description (108) of the skin tear type, printed instructions (110) defining one or more steps (111,112,113,114) instructing when to use each medical implement within the package to treat the skin tear wound, and one or more removable adhesive labels (115,116).
Individual packaging arrangement for orthopedic tools
A protective member for a medical instrument includes a body portion having an inner side wall defining an interior, configured to receive at least a portion of the medical instrument. The body portion also includes a first end and a second end, wherein at least one of the first end and the second end is configured to at least partially close the respective first end and/or second end of the body portion. The at least partially closed first end and/or second end is configured to be opened for use of the medical instrument, such that the medical instrument can pass through both the first and second ends of the body portion during use, while the inner side wall surrounds a portion of the medical instrument. The body portion is configured for use during a medical procedure using the medical instrument, for example, as a tissue protector or a drilling guide.
Medical device transportation systems
A system for containing and transporting a medical device may include a container including a bottom face and surrounding side faces as a closed first end and an open second end to form an inner portion for receiving and retaining the medical device. The liner may be extendable over the side faces to line the inner portion of the container to an outer surface of the bottom face of the container. The liner may act as a protective barrier to the container to minimize contamination when receiving and/or retaining a used medical device. First and second covers may be removably attachable to the container, over the liner, to enclose a medical device therebetween. A first cover may have a color or marking indicating the medical device is “clean”, while a second cover may have a color or marking indicating the medical device is “used”.
Devices for supporting a medical instrument and methods of use
Various implementations include a device for holding and supporting a medical instrument in a position. For example, the medical instrument may include a percutaneous procedure apparatus, such as a needle (e.g., biopsy needle, anesthesia needle) or needle holder. In some implementations, the device holds and supports the percutaneous procedure apparatus and liberates the procedure operator's hands from direct beam exposure, which lowers the risk of complications and radiation exposure to patients and procedure operators. The device also increases the effectiveness of the procedure by holding and supporting the apparatus in the intended position.
Packaged medical device
To provide a packaged medical device in which a medical device in a container is stably fixed and which can be easily opened. Specifically, provided is a packaged medical device comprising a container having an opening portion and a flange portion formed to extend outward in a peripheral portion of the opening portion, a medical device housed inside the container, and a lid member having a gas impermeable film and peelably heat-sealed to the flange portion, in which the inside of the container is set to a negative pressure to the atmospheric pressure so that the medical device is pressed by the lid member and the peel strength to the flange portion of the lid member is 2 to 50 N/in.
Notched Rim Structure for Medical Tools
A notched rim medical organizer includes a rim structure and is configured to be integrated with or selectively seated on a receptacle and includes an internal edge and an external edge, wherein the external edge includes notches or slits spaced around the outer edge, allowing patties, sponges, gauze, cotton balls, pledgets, and other wound care and management devices to be clearly organized and secured for counting and disposal during and after medical procedures.
Interface/pouch design for aseptic opening of sterilization pouch
A sterilizable pouch includes at least one sheet, wherein outer peripheral edges of the at least one sheet are sealed together to define a pouch having an interior space for receiving an article therein. A first releasable seam spans between a first peripheral edge of the at least one sheet to a second, opposite, peripheral edge of the at least one sheet, the first releasable seam dividing the at least one sheet into a first sheet part and a second sheet part. A second releasable seam and a third releasable seam each substantially span from a third peripheral edge of the at least one sheet to a fourth, opposite, peripheral edge of the at least one sheet and along the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge, respectively. The second and third releasable seams are arranged generally perpendicular to the first releasable seam, where the first, second and third releasable seams enable the pouch to be completely opened such that a device can be removed from the pouch without the device contacting non-sterile portions of the pouch.

Infection control system for forced air warming machines
A single-use infection control system for a forced air warming machine having hosing connected to the machine including: a closable container having a chamber to receive the machine, the container constructed from air permeable material that prevents infectious airborne particles from entering the chamber; a sleeve having a first end and a second end, the first end engaged to an aperture on the container and the sleeve surrounding the hosing; and a filter cap constructed from the air permeable material, disposed at the second end and covering an opening of the hosing.
A SURGICAL SHARPS STORAGE SYSTEM
The present invention provides a storage system for so called “sharps”, in particular but not limited to needles, used in surgical and medical procedures and comprising a body defining a first storage area for one or more packaged sharps; a second storage area for one or more empty sharps packages; and a third storage area for securing one or more used sharps.
