Individual packaging arrangement for orthopedic tools
A protective member for a medical instrument includes a body portion having an inner side wall defining an interior, configured to receive at least a portion of the medical instrument. The body portion also includes a first end and a second end, wherein at least one of the first end and the second end is configured to at least partially close the respective first end and/or second end of the body portion. The at least partially closed first end and/or second end is configured to be opened for use of the medical instrument, such that the medical instrument can pass through both the first and second ends of the body portion during use, while the inner side wall surrounds a portion of the medical instrument. The body portion is configured for use during a medical procedure using the medical instrument, for example, as a tissue protector or a drilling guide.
CARRIERS FOR SURGICAL OBJECTS, AND SETS AND CONTAINERS CONTAINING SUCH CARRIERS
The invention relates to supports (1) for receiving a surgical implant, in particular a bone plate (2), containing an implant receptacle (3), the implant receptacle (3) being of substantially elongate form along a longitudinal axis (4) and having a first part (5) and a second part (6), the first part (5) having a shaft (7) for receiving the surgical implant (2) at a recess (13) of the implant (2), the second part (6) having a first fastening portion (8) for fastening to a holding portion (9) of a container (114). The support (1) furthermore contains at least one elastic element (10), in particular a spring, for securing the implant, which is designed to secure an implant, which is held on the implant receptacle (3), by a force component substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (4). Also disclosed are supports (100) for receiving at least one surgical item, in particular an implant, in particular a screw (101).
Double packaging for object intended to remain sterile
A double packaging structure for an object, which may be a sterile object, includes a hollow external container having a closed first end, an open second end and walls, and an internal container disposed inside the external container. The internal container includes a hollow body and a cap. The object is intended to be received in the body. To close its first end, the external container has a membrane capable of deforming when pressure is applied to the membrane. The membrane is configured so that a pressure applied to its outer face, along the longitudinal axis, pushes its inner face against the inner container and causes the inner container to exit at the second end of the external container in the absence of a closure system at the second end.
Medical waste container
Disclosed is a waste container comprising a port in communication with a tube where the port is configured to receive a fluid from an implement and the tube is configured to direct the fluid from the implement toward an absorbent material within the waste container.
STERILIZATION CASSETTES FOR DENTAL AND BODY ART TOOLS
Various aspects of a sterilization cassette system for the sterilization of body art instruments and dental instruments fashioned from material having improved sterilization and configured in various arrangements for improved storage efficiency. One or more trays comprising part of the sterilization cassette are configured and coupled to each other in various arrangements. Each of the one or more trays have a bottom side and four side walls which are disposed substantially perpendicular to the bottom side and the bottom side has a plurality of mutually sized and arranged holes which are configured such as to provided more efficient drainage.
Disposable gasket-filter assembly with seal integrity indication for sterilization container with slidable lock handles
Sterilization packaging systems with features for sealing a volume against an ingress of contaminants are provided. Such features include a sealing assembly including a gasket and a sheet of filter material. The sealing assembly seals a lid to a seal rim of a base. The gasket has an upper surface, outer edge, and inner edge. The sheet of filter material extends from an inner edge of the gasket, and the gasket completely surrounds the sheet of filter material. The upper surface of the gasket comprises a plurality of indentations that define channels to facilitate delivery of a sterilization agent through the filter material. A sterilization assembly including a lid having a plurality of protrusions in its upper surface and a sliding-lock system for sealing and locking the lid to a container base is also provided.
PACKAGE FOR STORING, PRE-PROCESSING, HANDLING, AND DELIVERING A MEDICAL DEVICE TO A SURGICAL SITE
A package for a medical device includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is adapted to support a medical device having a receiving area. The second portion has an area that is adapted to be aligned with the receiving area of the medical device supported in the first portion. The area of the second portion can be deformed to move a medical material into the receiving area of the medical device. A method of providing a medical device with a medical material includes the steps of: (a) providing a package including a first portion containing a medical device; (b) providing a medical material; and (c) deforming a second portion of the package to move the medical material into or onto the medical device.
Medical device package
In some examples, a medical device package may include a backing card that is configured to secure a medical device to a major surface of the backing card. The backing card is configured to be assembled from an open state into a closed state in which flaps on one or more ends of a central region of the backing card move over some of the central region and cover some of the secured medical device. The closed state defines a reduced footprint relative to the unfolded state. The backing card may be sealed in a pouch, which may then be housed in a carton. The carton includes exterior walls that enclose the sealed backing card and spacing elements that receive the sealed backing card at a relative location within the carton and holds the backing card a threshold distance from the exterior walls of the carton.
