Surgical table disposable base cover
A disposable base cover includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a top wall and a peripheral side wall extending orthogonally therefrom. The first portion also includes a side edge with a first fastening feature. The second portion includes a top wall and a peripheral side wall extending generally orthogonally therefrom. The second portion also includes an equipment zone that provides visual indicia of equipment zone bounds. The second portion includes a side edge with a second fastening feature that is complementary to the first fastening feature. The disposable base cover is configured for engagement with a base of a surgical table having rollers to provide mobility to the surgical table.
Safety apparatus
A safety apparatus for use in a procedure comprises at least first and second devices, wherein the first device and second device are for use in a medical procedure, the apparatus comprising a disabling mechanism that is adapted to releasably retain and thereby prevent use of the said second device until release by a release procedure using the first device. A method of carrying out a procedure comprises the steps of using the first device, applying the first device to a disabling mechanism to release the second device, and using the second device.
Multi-panel sterilization assembly with transport adhesive
The multi-panel sterilization assembly includes a barrier panel formed of permeable material having barrier properties, side wings that can include grip portions for folding or unfolding the barrier panel; and a fold protection panel. The assembly has at least one pull tab attached to an end of the barrier panel to aid in unfolding the assembly after sterilization. At least one wing and/or pull tab is held in place against the barrier panel during manufacturing with a transient adhesive that loses strength such that the wing or pull tab is easily pulled off the barrier panel after sterilization.
Allergen Supply Tray
An allergen delivery system with a tray and delivery set. The delivery set includes a dispensing well. The dispensing well holds a wettable material to receive an allergen and provide it to a delivery barb that has been received into the dispensing well. A conduit is connected to the dispensing well, to receive the allergen and provide it to the dispensing well. A reservoir is connected to the conduit to receive the allergen and provide it to the conduit. A cap is disposed on the reservoir, with a hole, such that when a finger depresses the cap, the finger covers the hole and the depression creates pressure within the reservoir, which motivates an amount of the allergen to flow out from the reservoir through the conduit and into the dispensing well, to be absorbed by the wettable material, where the allergen is available for delivery to the barbed delivery applicator.
SAFETY APPARATUS
A safety apparatus is provided for use in a procedure comprising at least first and second devices, wherein the first device and second device are for use in a medical procedure. The apparatus includes a disabling mechanism that is adapted to releasably retain and thereby prevent use of the said second device until release by a release procedure using the first device. A method is provided of carrying out a procedure comprising the steps of using the first device, applying the first device to a disabling mechanism to release the second device, and using the second device.
Compartmentalized medical surgical kit system
A compartmentalized medical instrument kit is provided. The compartmentalized medical instrument kit includes a platform configured for use during medical procedures. The platform may include a top surface, a plurality of sidewalls, and/or a bottom surface, wherein the bottom surface includes one or more channels configured to receive one or more wires and to secure and position the one or more wires under the platform. The compartmentalized medical instrument kit may include one or more compartments configured to house one or more medical instruments.
STERILE COVER ASSEMBLY
A touchscreen cover assembly embodiment is configured to create a sterile interface between a touchscreen and a user and includes a sterile frame and a sterile cover member. The sterile frame includes a forward frame surface and a rearward frame surface opposite the forward frame surface. The sterile frame defines an interior opening, and the sterile frame is configured to be secured to the touchscreen such that the rearward frame surface faces the touchscreen and the interior opening is aligned with a user interface of the touchscreen. The sterile cover member includes a forward cover portion and a rearward cover portion. The sterile cover member is configured to be secured to the touchscreen by the sterile frame such that the forward cover portion is positioned between the interior opening and the user interface of the touchscreen and the rearward cover portion is positioned over a housing of the touchscreen.
STERILE BARRIER SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ROBOTIC SURGERY SYSTEMS
A sterile barrier for a robotic surgery apparatus can include a drape made of a flexible material. The drape can include a first surface configured to face a component of the robotic surgery apparatus and a second surface opposite the first surface. The second surface can be sterile and configured to provide a sterile barrier for the component. The sterile barrier can include a first pair of pockets positioned along a first edge of the second surface and configured to receive hands of a user. The first pair of pockets can be configured to facilitate positioning of the sterile barrier on the component.
STERILE BARRIER SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ROBOTIC SURGERY SYSTEMS
A robotic surgery apparatus can include a component including a housing with an external surface. The apparatus can include a plurality of component fasteners positioned on the external surface of the housing. The plurality of component fasteners can be configured to couple with a plurality of drape fasteners of a sterile drape. The sterile drape can be configured to cover a portion of the surface of the housing and to provide a sterile barrier for the portion of the surface. A number of component fasteners in the plurality of component fasteners can exceed a number of drape fasteners in the plurality of drape fasteners, permitting the drape to be positioned on the housing of the component in a plurality of orientations and to cover a plurality of different portions of the surface of the housing. When the drape is positioned on the housing, at least one component fastener of the plurality of component fasteners may not be coupled to any of the drape fasteners of the plurality of drape fasteners.
