Vacuum storage system
A vacuum storage system (40) for storing an article, comprises a sealable outer chamber (30) and a sealable inner chamber (20). The sealable outer chamber (30) has an evacuation valve (21) for connection to a suction device (48) for evacuation of said outer chamber (30). The sealable inner chamber (20) is adapted to receive said article and has a one-way valve (13) in communication with the outer chamber (30). The one-way valve (13) is adapted to open upon the application of suction to the outer chamber (30), thereby to enable evacuation of said inner chamber (20), but to close upon discontinuation of said suction.
Equipment for receiving surgical materials and/or liquid products
Disclosed is an equipment for receiving surgical materials and/or liquid products for a surgical procedure. The equipment includes: a tray with a top face; and a tight surface film intended to be removably attached to the top face of the tray in order to form a sterile upper surface that is intended to receive the surgical materials and/or liquid products. The top face of the tray includes at least one recess, and the tight surface film, attached to the tray, forms at least one pocket extending inside the at least one recess and adapted to receive at least one of the surgical materials and/or liquid products.
Medical packaging with a packaging sleeve and outer vacuum packaging
Medical packaging for the sterile storage of medical articles in a hermetically and sterile sealable packaging sleeve. The packing generally includes at least two parts, with a sealed, film-like outer packaging, which at least partially encloses the packaging sleeve in a form-fitting manner and provides a pressure that is reduced with respect to the atmosphere. At least one end face of the packaging sleeve may be designed to be flattened, wherein a length of the outer packaging is generally longer than a length of the packaging sleeve and projects beyond the end face region of the packaging sleeve. A sealing or welding seam may be arranged at least in the end face region of the packaging sleeve, wherein at least one of the end faces of the packaging sleeve, preferably both end faces, are designed so as to be flattened off. The end-sided transition from the packaging sleeve into the outer packaging is substantially wrinkle free.

CONTAINER FOR THE STERILE PACKAGING OF ARTICLES UNDER REDUCED PRESSURE
The invention relates to a container for sterilely packaging objects under reduced pressure, said container comprising a lower part and an upper part. The container has an annular sealing element having a main sealing-element plane DH, the sealing element being H-shaped in cross-section perpendicular to the main sealing-element plane, with two flanges and a web. An entire lower edge of the upper part and an entire upper edge of the lower part can be slid between the flanges of the sealing element. The sealing element is designed to tightly close the container, the flange of the sealing element arranged on the outside of the container when the container is assembled being equipped with at least one predetermined rupture feature for destroying the tight closure of the container.

Medical sterile container with safety ventilation valve
A medical sterile container includes a tray-like first container part, a lid-type second container part, a fastener and a ventilation valve to ventilate a container interior surrounded by the first container part and the second container part. The fastener is mounted on one of the container parts so as to be pivotable between a closed position, in which the container parts are locked to one another by the fastener, and an open position in which the container parts are unlocked.
Ophthalmic lens assemblies and methods of assembly and use
Ophthalmic lens assemblies and methods of assembly and use may include a lens assembly including a lens element and a protective cover. The lens element includes a contact lens surface and a faceted optical body including a distal portion and a faceted portion including one or more mirror facets to form a TIR activity pathway. The protective cover includes a contact aperture shaped to receive the contact lens surface, a grip portion, and a facet housing portion including an interior surface. The contact aperture of the protective cover is stretch-fit about a periphery of the contact lens surface to maintain a proximal-side fluid seal. The grip portion of the protective cover is stretch-fit about the distal portion of the lens element to maintain a distal-side fluid seal. One or more TIR-inducing air gaps are defined by the facet housing portion between the interior surface and the mirror facets.
