CA IX-NIR dyes and their uses
The present disclosure relates to compounds that are useful as near-infrared fluorescence probes, wherein the compounds include i) a ligand that binds to the active site of carbonic anhydrase, ii) a dye molecule, and iii) a linker molecule that comprises an amino acid, amide, ureido, or polyethylene glycol derivative thereof. Visualization systems using structured light
A visualization system including multiple light sources, an image sensor configured to detect imaging data from the multiple light sources, and a control circuit is disclosed. At least one of the light sources is configured to emit a pattern of structured light. The control circuit is configured to receive the imaging data from the image sensor, generate a three-dimensional digital representation of the anatomical structure from the pattern of structured light detected by the imaging data, obtain metadata from the imaging data, overlay the metadata on the three-dimensional digital representation, receive updated imaging data from the image sensor, and generate an updated three-dimensional digital representation of the anatomical structure based on the updated imaging data. The visualization system can be communicatively coupled to a situational awareness module configured to determine a surgical scenario based on input signals from multiple surgical devices.
TROCAR-CANNULA ASSEMBLY CAP
The present disclosure relates to trocar-cannula insertion tools for ophthalmic procedures. In certain embodiments, a cap for a trocar-cannula insertion tool includes a body having a proximal end and a distal end opposite the proximal end. A marking element extends in a distal direction from the distal end of the body and includes at least one marking tip for forming one or more indentations on a patient's eye during an ophthalmic procedure. A manipulation element extends from the body in a direction different from the marking element and includes at least one manipulation tip for gripping a tissue of the patient's eye during the ophthalmic procedure. In certain embodiments, the cap further includes at least one window for exposing a photoluminescent cannula of the trocar-cannula insertion tool to light, enabling the cannula to absorb photons prior to insertion thereof.
Wavelength converting composite member, and light emitting device and electronic instrument employing same
Provided is a wavelength converting composite member including: a disk-shaped substrate; a first wavelength converting member provided on the substrate and containing a first phosphor that radiates fluorescence due to a parity-forbidden transition; and a second wavelength converting member provided on the substrate and containing a second phosphor that radiates fluorescence due to a parity-allowed transition. The first wavelength converting member and the second wavelength converting member are disposed adjacent to each other along the circumferential direction of the substrate. The first wavelength converting member and the second wavelength converting member are provided on the substrate in such a way that the position of the center of gravity of the entirety of the first wavelength converting member and the second wavelength converting member is located on the rotation axis of the substrate. A light emitting device is provided with the wavelength converting composite member.

[Solving means] A first photoelectric conversion device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first electrode, a second electrode opposed to the first electrode, and a photoelectric conversion layer. The photoelectric conversion layer is provided between the first electrode and the second electrode and includes at least one type of one organic semiconductor material having crystallinity. Variation in a ratio between horizontally-oriented crystal and vertically-oriented crystal in the photoelectric conversion layer is three times or less between a case where film formation of the one organic semiconductor material is performed at a first temperature and a case where the film formation of the one organic semiconductor material is performed at a second temperature. The second temperature is higher than the first temperature.
Systems and methods for detection and illumination of regions of interest
An illumination system for a lighting assembly comprises a light assembly configured to selectively illuminate an operating region in a surgical suite and a plurality of light sources positioned within the light assembly and configured to emit light. The system further comprises at least one imager configured to capture image data and a controller. The controller is configured to scan the image data in at least one region of interest for a shaded region and identify a location of the shaded region within the region of interest. The controller is further configured to control the light assembly to activate at least one of the light sources to emit light impinging on the shaded region within the region of interest.

A medical observation apparatus including: an arm including a plurality of links connected to each other via a joint, the arm having at least three or more degrees of freedom implemented by a rotation operation about a rotation axis; an imaging device supported by the arm; and an arm controller that controls an operation of the arm. When a posture of the arm is in a predetermined state, and when a predetermined input for moving the arm about a rotation axis orthogonal to a second axis that is a second rotation axis from a side of the arm on which the imaging device is supported and a third axis that is a third rotation axis from the side of the arm on which the imaging device is supported is detected, the arm controller makes one of the links corresponding to the third axis rotate about the third axis.

The present invention relates to a real-time parathyroid imaging device, and a real-time parathyroid imaging device for displaying only a parathyroid in a thyroid with a separate mark, the real-time parathyroid imaging device including: a light source configured to emit light to a thyroid and excite a parathyroid; a detector configured to detect an emission spectrum of the parathyroid excited and emitted by the light source; an excitation filter disposed in front of the light source; and an emission filter disposed in front of the detector. When central Compartment Neck Dissection (CCND) for thyroidectomy is performed, the present invention clearly marks a parathyroid by an autofluorescent image, thereby allowing a surgeon to more simply and safely perform the CCND while leaving the parathyroid.

An electronic system for a surgical instrument is disclosed. The electronic system comprises a main power supply circuit configured to supply electrical power to a primary circuit. A supplementary power supply circuit configured to supply electrical power to a secondary circuit. A short circuit protection circuit coupled between the main power supply circuit and the supplementary power supply circuit. The supplementary power supply circuit is configured to isolate itself from the main power supply circuit when the supplementary power supply circuit detects a short circuit condition at the secondary circuit. The supplementary power supply circuit is configured to rejoin the main power supply circuit and supply power to the secondary circuit, when the short circuit condition is remedied.
