Universal respiratory detector
A universal respiratory detector for detecting a respiratory gas. The universal respiratory detector may include a plurality of layers with a visual indicator to quickly and reversibly change color to detect a respiratory gas parameter such as carbon dioxide. The color change may be visible from both sides of the detector. In some examples, the respiratory detector may be a biocompatible and conformable sticker for mounting on a person's face or an oxygen delivery device.
Performance monitoring systems and methods
Systems and methods for electronically creating and modifying a fitness plan are disclosed. The method may include receiving electronic user data, collecting electronic fitness data, and displaying a suggestion for a fitness activity based on the electronic user data and the electronic fitness data.
SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING THE NEED FOR MEASUREMENT OF CARDIAC OUTPUT
The present invention relates to a decision support system (DSS), a medical monitoring system (100), and a corresponding method for identifying the need for measurement of cardiac output (CO) based on one or more comparisons (COMP1, COMP2) in a physiological model. More specifically, for identifying when an approximated value of CO cannot be correct due to circulatory compromise and as such that another estimated or measured value of CO is required.
OXYGEN MASK RESPIROMETER
Devices, systems, and methods for monitoring respiration using surface temperature, humidity, air pressure, carbon dioxide gas sensors, pulse oximetry sensors and electromyography sensors, and/or acceleration sensors to obtain information related to respiration rate (RR), exhalation/inhalation strength, exhalation/inhalation volume, exhalation/inhalation acceleration, and/or exhalation/inhalation regularity.
LUNG TESTING DEVICE
A device for determining measurement values describing the function of the lungs or the respiratory system of a patient includes a mouthpiece including a tube for introducing respiratory air and for sucking in air, and a gas measurement space. At least one of the following gas sensors is arranged in the gas measurement space: nitrogen monoxide sensor, carbon dioxide sensor, oxygen sensor, carbon monoxide sensor, multi-gas sensor, sensor for volatile organic compounds, alkane sensor, infrared sensor, fiber optic sensor, resistance sensor, and semiconductor sensor. The gas measurement chamber is separated by a closable opening into a first gas measurement chamber and a second gas measurement chamber, the second gas measurement chamber being closed or closable. The closable opening opens a flow path from the first gas measurement chamber into the second gas measurement chamber. A gas sensor is arranged in the second gas measurement chamber.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING MAXIMUM VALUE OF HEART ACTIVITY PARAMETER OF USER PEFFORMING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The present invention discloses a method for determining a maximum value of a heart activity parameter of a user performing a physical activity. Acquire first heart activity data in a first duration of the physical activity performed by the user. Acquire motion data in the first duration of the physical activity performed by the user. Calculate second heart activity data based on the motion data in the first duration of the physical activity performed by the user by a mathematical model and estimate the maximum value of the heart activity parameter of the user based on a comparison between the first heart activity data and the second heart activity data.
Systems and methods to determine a risk factor related to dehydration and thermal stress of a subject
Systems and methods to determine a risk factor related to dehydration and thermal stress of a subject are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: generate output signals, by one or more sensors worn on a body of a subject, conveying information related to one or more of location of the subject, motion of the subject, temperature of the subject, cardiovascular parameters of the subject; store information related to the subject; obtain the output signals; determine in an ongoing manner, from the output signals, values of a water loss metric that correlates with estimated percentage of bodyweight of the subject lost in water; obtain heat index information for a contextual environment surrounding the subject; determine in an ongoing manner, from the output signals, values of an exertion metric that correlates with exertion of the subject due to work; and determine in an ongoing manner values for an aggregated risk factor of the subject.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF OXYGEN REQUIRED BY A USER WITH RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS
A method and a system for determining the amount of oxygen required by a user with respiratory problems are disclosed. First data about several users with respiratory problems is stored in a database. The method a) collects second data from a monitored user while (s)he is performing a test at a first location; b) computes a user’s behavioral model executing a first algorithm on the first and second data; c) collects, every period of time t1, third data of the user while (s)he is performing an activity at a second location; d) adjusts, every period of time t2, the computed user’s behavioral model using the first algorithm, providing a customized user’s behavioral model as a result; and e) computes an estimator of the quantity of oxygen to be delivered to the user by executing a second algorithm on the customized user’s behavioral model.
DEVICE FOR MEASURING A PERSON'S VENTILATION INCLUDING OXYGEN-CONSUMPTION, AND A DEHUMIDIFICATION ASSEMBLY AND CONDUIT ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
There is accordingly provided a device for measuring a person's ventilation including oxygen consumption. The device includes a breathing conduit with at least one sensor sampling port. The device includes a dehumidification conduit extending from the sensor sampling port towards a sensor. The dehumidification conduit has a proximal end portion flush with the sensor sampling port. The dehumidification conduit has a longitudinal axis about which the proximal end portion thereof extends. The breathing conduit is shaped to promote a flow of air adjacent the sensor sampling port in one or more directions perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
