Dental restoration molding techniques
A custom tool for forming a dental restoration in a mouth of a patient includes a mold body providing for a customized fit with at least one tooth of the patient. The mold body includes a facial portion forming a facial surface corresponding with a facial surface of the tooth, and a separate lingual portion forming a lingual surface corresponding with a lingual surface of the tooth. The mold body is configured to combine with the tooth of the patient to form a mold cavity encompassing missing tooth structure of the tooth.
Apparatus for in situ restoration of unconstrained dental structure
A dental restoration apparatus that eliminates time-consuming, labor-intensive steps conventionally needed to fabricate molds, and thereby facilitates dental restorations in a shorter time, while reducing the discomfort and embarrassment sometimes associated with provisional restorations, which includes an additive manufacturing apparatus (e.g., a 3-D printer) having a tool head (e.g., a print head) and a fixture for controlling the position of the tool head relative to the teeth of a patient, allowing fabrication of a planned dental structure directly on an existing dental structure.
SYSTEMS FOR MEASURING PATIENT PHYSIOLOGIC PARAMETERS
Provided herein is a sensor assembly including a printed circuit board including a top surface, a bottom surface and one or more sensing elements for measuring a physiologic parameter of a patient, the one or more sensing elements disposed on the top surface. The sensor assembly including an antenna coupled to the printed circuit board, the antenna coupled to the bottom surface of the printed circuit board and extending through an opening in the printed circuit board and outwardly from the top surface. The sensor assembly including a power source disposed below the printed circuit board and coupled to the printed circuit board and a case at least partially enclosing the printed circuit board, antenna, and power source, wherein the case includes a sensing opening configured to allow fluid to contact the one or more sensing element.
Method of implanting dental restoration
In order to improve the reliability of a dental restoration, a method of implanting the dental restoration is provided. The method includes virtually disposing a virtual implant selected from a digital library on the basis of a CT image to correspond to an implantation information, and a virtual implanting guide sleeve, which is virtually and concentrically disposed to be spaced upward from an upper end portion of the virtual implant by an offset distance, and a scanning image overlap and are integrally stored; and generating design information of a surgical guide, wherein a virtual coupling hole corresponding to an outer circumference of the virtual implanting guide sleeve is formed in the design information.
Scanning of edentulous patients
Disclosed is a method for determining the relative arrangement of patient's jaws in a bite position when the patient's occlusion is not defined by natural teeth alone, where the method includes a step of obtaining a digital 3D representation including both surface data relating to dental tissue in one of the patient's jaws and surface data relating to a scan appliance arranged in relation to the jaw, where the scan appliance is configured for at least partly defining the patient's occlusion.
Methods for chair-side or other manufacture of customizable sculptable anatomical healing caps
Methods for manufacturing anatomical healing caps, including forming an anatomical healing cuff body for a given tooth position, the anatomical healing cuff body having a cross-section and an exterior surface so that the anatomical healing cuff body provides substantially custom filling of at least an emergence portion of a void where a natural tooth once emerged from the void or where a tooth would have emerged from a void of the given tooth position, and forming both lateral buccal and lingual handle extensions extending from the anatomical healing cuff body so that the manufactured anatomical healing cap includes a laterally extending buccal handle extension and an oppositely disposed laterally extending lingual handle extension, the buccal and lingual handle extensions being integrally formed with the healing cuff body. The healing caps can be formed using a casting jig, by machining, by 3D printing, or other suitable methods.
Apparatuses and methods for making a final hybrid prosthesis to be attached to dental implants
The present invention includes apparatuses and methods for making a final hybrid prosthesis to be attached to one or more dental implants. One preferred method includes the step of making a temporary hybrid prosthesis and at about the same time also making a duplicate temporary hybrid prosthesis. The duplicate temporary hybrid prosthesis permits the final hybrid prosthesis to be made with fewer visits to a restorative dentist and with less dental laboratory time than is currently needed when making a final hybrid prosthesis.
TOOTH ARRANGEMENT DECAL
A tooth arrangement decal constructed and arranged to facilitate the rapid communication of the placement of prostheses with respect to prosthetic teeth on a wax rim and a method of using the same is provided. The tooth arrangement decal may instruct the arrangement of teeth, and in particular, central incisors, lateral incisors, and canines. The tooth arrangement decal may be constructed and arranged to eliminate the need for tedious measurements and inscription of markings on a wax ring to indicate the appropriate location for prostheses during denture set-up.
System and process and for replicating soft tissue anatomy using a for implant supported fixed prostheses using 3D printed multi-purpose prototype
A process for replicating soft tissue anatomy of a dental patient prior to preparing an implant-supported fixed prosthesis is disclosed. The process may include: securing an interim prosthesis intra-orally in the dental patient for a predetermined time, after implants of the dental patient are osseointegrated, to evaluate the interim prosthesis based on a plurality of parameters within the mouth of the dental patient; printing a three-dimensional printed-resin prototype having an intaglio surface based on the evaluated interim prosthesis; attaching the three-dimensional printed-resin prototype into the implants; and injecting a low viscosity elastomeric impression material between the intaglio surface of the three-dimensional printed-resin prototype and the soft tissue of the dental patient to obtain a soft tissue replica for preparing the implant-supported fixed prosthesis.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DENTAL PROSTHESIS
The invention relates to a method for producing a dental prosthesis from a prosthesis base and a plurality of prosthesis teeth, characterized by the following chronological steps: providing the prosthesis teeth and the prosthesis base, wherein the prosthesis base comprises a plurality of tooth sockets for locating the basal surfaces of the prosthesis teeth; applying a plastically deformable connecting means onto the tooth sockets and/or basally onto the prosthesis teeth; locating the prosthesis teeth into the tooth sockets of the prosthesis base and in this situation connecting with the aid of connecting means to the prosthesis base in such a way that the prosthesis teeth, after locating in the tooth sockets, are movable in relation to the prosthesis base, wherein the position and the alignment of the prosthesis teeth to the prosthesis base remain retained if no external force effect is exerted onto the prosthesis teeth; changing the position and/or the alignment of at least one prosthesis tooth in the prosthesis base; and hardening the plastically deformable connecting means, and securely connecting the prosthesis teeth in this situation to the prosthesis base, wherein the position and the alignment of the prosthesis teeth in relation to the prosthesis base are retained.
The invention also relates to a dental prosthesis produced by such a method, and a set for carrying out such a method.
