SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF PROVISIONAL AND PERMANENT CROWNS
A method for preparing a tooth crown may include generating a 3D model of an external surface of a patient's tooth and generating a 3D model of an external surface of a first crown based on the 3D model of the external surface of the patient's tooth. The method may also include preparing the patient's tooth to receive the first crown while generating the 3D model of the external surface. A 3D model of the prepared tooth my be generated. A 3D model of an internal surface of the first crown may also be generated. The 3D model of the external surface and the 3D model of the internal surface may form a 3D model of the first crown.
DENTAL BRIDGE SYSTEM
Provided is a dental bridge system including a superstructure and a support bar. The superstructure includes a proximal face formed with at least one bar-receiving groove shaped so as to snugly receive therein at least a corresponding portion of the support bar. The removable superstructure further includes a crown portion defining teeth-like members and having a structurally functional distally projecting inner core, coated by a visible layer configured to impart aesthetic qualities to the crown portion.
Dental implants with markers for determining three-dimensional positioning
Dental implants including radiopaque markers provided therein or thereon. The implant may also include customizable length characteristics. For example, a kit may include implants with different diameters (e.g., 3 diameters), where all of the implants are of a single (e.g., long) length. The appropriate diameter implant may be selected from the kit by the practitioner, and the long length implant may be cut (e.g., with a dental drill) to the appropriate length needed. The implants include radiopaque markers on or within the implant. For example, three series of markers may be provided on different “faces” of the implant, so that the three series of markers serve as reference points when scanning, allowing triangulation of the exact position of the implant in relation to the surrounding hard and soft oral tissues.
Dental implant positioning
Methods, devices, systems, and series of appliances are provided for dental implant positioning. One method for positioning an implant with dental treatment includes determining an implant location based on a virtual model of an optimized dental occlusion, moving one or more teeth using a first number of a series of dental appliances, from a first orientation to a second orientation, the second orientation exposing the implant location, placing an implant at the exposed implant location using a landmark included in at least one of the series of dental appliances, repositioning one or more teeth using a second number of the series of dental appliances, from the second orientation to a successive orientation.
Method for producing dental adaptive element for alleviating recession of gingiva
A method for producing a dental adaptive element for alleviating recession of gingiva around an alveolar socket of a patient includes: obtaining images of a tooth; creating a 3D model having a crown part and a root part based on the images; obtaining a boundary curve on the 3D model between the crown part and the root part; on the root part of the 3D virtual model, obtaining an imaginary surface that protrudes in a direction from the crown part toward the root part; extracting a sub-model from the 3D model by removing a portion of the root part that extends between the imaginary surface and an end of the root part; and producing a dental adaptive element according to the sub-model.
DENTAL REPARATIVE ARTICLE
Provided in this disclosure is a crown for a damaged tooth that is manufactured via metal injection molding and features an opening into which can be applied flowable dual-cure tooth colored material.
Dental restoration molds
A tool for forming a dental restoration includes a mold body configured to provide a customized fit with at least one tooth of a patient. In some examples, the mold body defines an aperture configured to align with a portion of a surface of a tooth. The aperture is sufficiently large to allow placement and flow of restorative material over the desired portion of the surface of the tooth to be restored. The mold body is configured to combine with the at least one tooth of the patient to define a mold cavity encompassing at least a portion of desired tooth structure of the tooth to be restored.
All-Zirconium One-piece Dental Implant
A method of making an all-zirconium one-piece dental implant has: oral scanning after implantation of artificial tooth roots, 3D archiving, making temporary dentures, and making integrated permanent dentures. The oral scanning is executed by an optical scanner and generates a digital file of a denture model, a five-axis processing machine makes a temporary denture according to the digital file of the denture model to provide fitting information to modify the digital file of the denture model or make a permanent denture. Making the permanent denture with an all-zirconium material without metal support comprises the five-axis processing machine forming a through hole in the permanent denture.
Intermediate prosthesis for dental prosthesis installation
Methods for generating and providing a full arch prosthesis from a pre-existing prosthesis are presented, starting from the pre-existing prosthesis. This prosthesis is removed from the mouth, scanned, and replaced within the mouth. An intermediate prosthesis is generated from the scan, and modified to match a final physiological target configuration of the patient's mouth. The intermediate prosthesis is used to generate a final virtual representation of the target configuration, from which final virtual representation the final working prosthesis is fabricated. The intermediate prosthesis is mounted in the patient's mouth in sections, for desirable repositioning, sections then being bonded together. Copings can be digitally subtracted to enable press fit new copings to be installed. Alternatively, the intermediate prosthesis can include integrated false copings. The intermediate prosthesis is scanned to generate a final digital model or virtual representation of the desired final prosthesis. The final working prosthesis may then be fabricated using the final virtual representation.
Method and system for provisioning of dental implants and related services
The present invention relates to a system and method for dental implant and restorative services. By locating the key functions at one physical location, dental implant services are efficiently provided to patients. These functions include a treatment coordinator, a direct marketer, a restorative doctor/prosthodontist, a surgeon, an imaging area, and a dental laboratory, Further, services for dentate patients are improved by utilizing advanced dental implant methods and systems. These methods and systems include both model-based services and CT (computed tomography) guided surgery services. Using these services, improved surgical guides for dental implants are constructed.
