Fixation base and guides for dental prosthesis installation
Apparatus and method for installing a multi-tooth dental prosthesis in one session are shown and described. A first tool attaches to the jawbone, and serves as a foundation for subsequently used guides. Existing teeth and dental fixtures are removed, and the bone tissue is removed to accommodate the prosthesis. Subsequently, a drill guide is used to drill implant holes. An abutment guide is then used to place abutments. Copings are then installed. Next, the prosthesis may be installed and cemented to the copings. A resinous filler material may be applied to fill gaps and holes in and between the copings and the prosthesis, and is sanded smooth.
MILLING BLANK AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A DENTAL RESTORATION PART FROM A MILLING BLANK
A protective cap device for a milling blank, with a retaining element (24) or retaining extension (26) with which the milling blank (1) can be clamped, in particular in a clamping holder of a dental milling machine, and with a central channel (12) which extends over and/or passes through at least 70% of the length of the blank (1), is provided. The channel (12) terminates at or in the retaining element (24) or extension (26). A central pin (4) extends in the channel (12) and is either fixed or movably mounted in the channel (12), It is provided that a protective cap (10) covers an end face (20), which is opposite the retaining element (24) or retaining extension (26), of the milling blank (1).
Dental Device With Speech Recognition
A dental device with a speech recognition module is provided, which is connected to a control device that controls at least part of the functions of the dental device. Based on the recognition result, the speech recognition module triggers a selected function of the dental device via the control device and has at least one microphone. An output module outputs information about the triggered function. The speech recognition module continuously listens via the microphone and has a code word module that activates or leaves active speech recognition for the temporally successive words when a code word is recognized and attempts to recognize them as predetermined control words each assigned to a function.
Customized Dental Prosthesis for Periodontal or Osseointegration, and Related Systems
A dental prosthesis to be integrated into a jaw bone cavity of a pre-identified patient. An example of a dental prosthesis includes a first manufactured portion having a surface shaped to substantially dimensionally conform three dimensionally to an undersized shape of the outer three-dimensional surface shape of a root of a tooth to be replaced, and a second manufactured portion shaped to substantially conform to the three-dimensional surface of a crown of the tooth. The outer surface of the root portion can include or be coated with a biocompatible material that is suitable to be integrated into the extraction socket and adopted by existing tissue forming the socket.
REMOVABLE DENTAL PROSTHESIS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAID REMOVABLE DENTAL PROSTHESIS
Method of fabricating a dental prosthesis (1), intended to fill an area of a first jaw, the first jaw being an identical reproduction of at least one part of an edentulous jaw (4) of an individual, the area being capable of receiving at least one tooth (3), the first jaw incorporating a protruding element (11), the method comprising: a first step of depositing the first portion (5) of a material on the area of the first jaw, in such a way that the first portion of deposited material can be hooked to the projecting element, the material being capable of preserving its shape after deposit; a step of attaching the tooth to the first portion of the deposited material.
DENTAL IMPLANT WITH PROGRESSIVE THREAD
A dental implant includes a screw body and screw threads. The screw body has an apical end and a coronal end. Screw threads include a primary thread and a secondary thread, which overlap in at least a portion of the screw thread. Thread depth progressively increases from the coronal end to the apical end. The coronal end may contain any suitable secondary characteristics, such as machined threads, grooves, micro-threads, or any other characteristics favorable to successful outcomes with dental implant treatment. A method of making such a dental implant is also disclosed.
COMPANION ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING PROCESSES (CEMP) TO OPTIMIZE MULTI-LAYERED ZIRCONIA CROWNS
A companion engineering and manufacturing process to optimize multi-layered zirconia crowns, and improved substructure are provided.
TOOTH MODEL FOR TOOTH TREATMENT PRACTICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A tooth model for dental treatment practice is composed of a transparent material and includes a root canal in which a hollow neural tube is formed and a crown formed on top of the root canal, wherein a coating layer is formed inside the neural tube by applying a paint based on an opaque material to an inner surface of the neural tube, so as to show the neural tube formed inside the root canal to the outside.
Method of producing a dental prosthesis
The invention relates to a method of producing a dental prosthesis from a one-piece or multi-piece prosthesis blank which is constructed from a gum-colored material and a tooth-colored material (32), in particular in each case on a plastic base. It is characterized by being connected to each other at connecting surfaces, having an interface between the gum-colored and tooth-colored materials. This interface, when viewed along the connecting surfaces has an undulating shape and viewed in the vestibular direction has a radial shape. In order to finish the dental prosthesis, a CAD/CAM device determines the exact course of a gingival line, based on patient-specific data, and produces the prosthesis.
Method of manufacturing an article
A method of manufacturing an article comprising: (a) performing an additive manufacturing process to firm an article in an initial state, the article comprising mounting features and being supported during the additive manufacturing process by support structures; and (b) performing a second manufacturing process to transform the article into a second state, which second manufacturing process is a subtractive process comprising: (i) mounting, via the mounting features formed during the additive manufacturing process, the article in a holding device of a machine for operating on the article, with the support structures or at least remnants thereof remaining on the article, and (ii) with the article so mounted in the holding device, processing at least one feature on a surface of the article on which the support structures were provided to remove material on the at least one feature provided by the support structures.
