Radiation curable compositions and composite articles made using an additive manufacturing process
A radiation curable composition including at least one radiation hardenable component, a photo-initiator, and a filler material having a population of particulates in an amount greater than or equal to 50% by weight of the printable composition. The population of particulates exhibits a median diameter (D50) of greater than or equal to 0.3 micrometer on a volume-average basis as determined using the Particle Size Test Method, and the radiation curable composition exhibits a viscosity of less than or equal to 150 Pa s when measured using the Viscosity Test Method. A method, apparatus, and systems for producing composite articles by selectively exposing a portion of the radiation curable composition to a source of actinic radiation to at least partially cure the exposed portion of the radiation curable composition, thereby forming a hardened layer, preferably by an additive manufacturing process such as stereophotolithography, are also described. The composite articles may include composite dental restorations.
Compositions for the production of transparent dental parts by means of stereolithography
The present invention relates to a polymerizable composition, which comprises (a) at least one radically polymerizable compound and (b) at least one initiator for the radical polymerization, wherein the composition furthermore comprises (c) at least one UV absorber and (d) at least one optical brightener and comprises at least one radically polymerizable oligomer and at least one radically polymerizable, polyfunctional monomer as the at least one radically polymerizable compound (a).
CURABLE COMPOSITION FOR USE IN A HIGH TEMPERATURE LITHOGRAPHY-BASED PHOTOPOLYMERIZATION PROCESS AND METHOD OF PRODUCING CROSSLINKED POLYMERS THEREFROM
Provided herein are curable compositions for use in a high temperature lithography-based photopolymerization process, a method of producing crosslinked polymers using said curable compositions, crosslinked polymers thus produced, and orthodontic appliances comprising the crosslinked polymers.
Dental framework and prosthesis
A unique CAD subtract body intended to create a design of a mating surface for a veneering overlay and a dental implant framework wherein the unique CAD subtract body is derived from a diagnostic wax-up surface model. The diagnostic wax-up surface model is created from at least one of scanning a diagnostic wax up or denture tooth set up, CAD models in a virtual set up, an intraoral scan of a diagnostic wax up or denture tooth set up taken in a patient's mouth, a CT scan or series of CT scans of a patient's mouth, a CT scan or series of CT scans with the use of a radiographic stent in a patient's mouth, and wherein the unique CAD subtract body can be used to create the tool path for the manufacturing of the veneering overlay and allows for the fabrication of a dental implant from at least one of a metallic material, a ceramic material, an acrylic material, a biocompatible material.
Single- or multi-unit dental restoration, and method of producing the same
The invention relates to a single- or multi-unit dental restoration, which consists of a support structure and a veneer, which support structure is in particular made from oxide ceramics by means of additive manufacturing, particularly preferably by means of rapid prototyping, wherein the veneer is produced by pressing a ceramic material, such as a glass ceramic or composite material, which is more translucent than the support structure, characterized in that the veneer fills and/or penetrates recesses of the support structure (12) configured as a net or frame structure or as a reinforcement, wherein it is particularly provided that the recesses penetrate through the support structure (12).
Rapid wash carrier platform for additive manufacturing of dental models
A method of making an object by additive manufacturing includes: (a) providing an additive manufacturing apparatus including a light source; (b) providing a carrier platform having a substantially planar object adhesion surface, the adhesion surface having a plurality of elongate wash channels formed therein; (c) producing the object on the carrier platform adhesion surface with the additive manufacturing apparatus from a light polymerizable resin, the object having at least one internal cavity formed therein; then (d) washing the object on the carrier platform with a wash liquid under conditions in which the wash liquid reaches the at least one internal cavity through the wash channels; then (e) optionally, at least partially drying the object on the carrier platform by separating the same from the wash liquid, and then agitating the object on the carrier platform to drain excess wash liquid from the object; (f) optionally, further curing the object.
Various structured supports for 3D printed aligners/mouth pieces
A support is coupled to an appliance to decrease warpage. The support may comprise a plurality of extensions coupled to the appliance to decrease warpage. The extensions can be coupled to the appliance at one or more of many locations, such as on an occlusal surface, a wall, an edge or an interior of the appliance. In some embodiments, the extensions are coupled to walls of the appliance such as a buccal wall and a lingual wall, and the extensions can be coupled to the walls of the appliance near edges of the walls, such as gingivally facing edges of the walls that are oriented toward the gingiva when the appliance is worn.
Ceramic dental restorations made by additive manufacturing
An additively manufactured dental crown with a wall having a bottom edge and an occlusal portion joined with the wall opposite the bottom edge. The wall and occlusal portion form an interior surface and an opposing exterior surface. By using additive manufacturing and materials for such, the dental crown can have thin walls with a thickness of less than 300 microns at the thinnest portion of it and can include fine printed features such as identifiers, internal ribs, slots, porous meshes, and retention elements.
Bioresorbable bone implant and production method
